You can't force someone to love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. Usama knew he wasn't unlovable, but Mahjabeen's rejection had raised his insecurity. Nobody loved him. Was he deserving of love?

And when he looked at his wife, he got the answer to that question. He was truly undeserving of love. In his madness, he was hurting her. Causing her so much pain, Usama started getting this weird subconscious from within, which started hating on everyone around him.

He hated the fact that he was forced to marry Maheer, hated the fact that he never even got the chance to confess his love, he hated that except him everyone was happy with the forced marriages. Maheer was his wife. He respected her so much and loved her as a friend.  All this guilt was for hurting his friend. His conscience was breaking, and now he realised Mahjabeen was also suffering in this relationship.

Murtasim's misunderstanding was so absurd. Mahjabeen and Murtasim didn't seem that happy. They were adjusting to each other, but it seemed Mahjabeen wasn't actually happy.

"Or was she?"

He turned to find the two, Mahjabeen running in the lake all by herself as Murtasim sulked alone. He closed his eyes and imagined himself in Murtasim's place.

Standing up from the stone and calling out to her, 'Mahjabeen!'

She would look back and wave at him, holding out her hand for him. They would walk on the beach side by side, and he would listen to her chatter for hours and hold her things for her.

Someone coughed, and Usama realised Murtasim was experiencing what he was imagining. He had everything Usama dreamed of.

Maheer, who sat on his side, asked him, "Chalogey?" Offering her hand, he placed it in his walking in the opposite direction with her so Murtasim and Mahjabeen were outside of his line of sight.

"This whole trip has been a torture for you, looking at the person you love being happy with another. Usama, I have decided, we will leave the haveli, so you don't have to get hurt again and again. "

Usama sighed, feeling ashamed unable to maintain eye contact with her,  "College ka aakhri saal hai, let's go to Australia? I don't wanna live here, around my father. "

He didn't have a reason to stay in Pakistan, not a father, mother, or any kind of family who would truly want him. And the person who wanted him, he couldn't neglect her.

"Theek hai," he stopped so he could face her, "Maheer..."

"Kuch mat bolo," she said and wrapped her arms around his waist, hiding her face as he held her.

"Everything will be okay."

Mahjabeen had Maheer's glasses in her hand. They had shared a cab, Murtasim at the back in the window seat beside Mahjabeen and Maheer. And Usama at the window seat. There was some tension between the two, when they were sitting in the cab Murtasim had sent Usama to the front.
