CHAPTER 57
——————————For two days, you and your friends alternated in pouring your magical energies to the Gate that Yashka created in order to stabilize it. All throughout, you can't help but feel excited and anxious at the same time, knowing that you could really go back home for good soon. You'd be back to the reality of your lives, but that also meant you'd never see the people from The Land ever again while you're alive.
After resting for another day to recover, it was finally time. You'd be playing a huge role in sending everyone home, considering that it would be difficult to fit them all in the magic circle of the Gate in the legendary mage's basement. To succeed, it was important that you have the sufficient needed magical energy to traverse everyone while Yashka opens the Gate.
"We're really going back, aren't we?"
"Thank you so much, (Y/N)-san, Rayne-sama."
"I can't believe this... I'm so happy! We're going home!"
As you stood in front of the Magic Realm citizens that were all gathered just outside of Celia's village, your heart felt full seeing their happy and relieved faces. You didn't want to take all the credit, but Yashka preferred to stay hidden like she always has been.
Smiling reassuringly, you gave them a nod. "Yes, are you all ready?"
A purple-colored kitten leaped and sat on your left-shoulder, raising its paw and placing it at the side of your head. It was a clone of the legendary mage, using magic to shapeshift as a cat. She still needed to be there in order to connect you to her real body, which would link you to the Gate and allow you to teleport everyone in.
"Well then, here it goes."
Just as you were about to begin casting your magic, Lance, Dot, and Finn suddenly stepped away from the crowd and went to stand beside you. You turned to them with a questioning look. "What are you guys doing?"
Finn gave you a soft smile as he answered, "You're going back after you send them, aren't you? So of course, we're staying with you! We'll go back together." Lance and Dot both nodded beside him, and their thoughtfulness made your heart feel full.
"You guys..." You smiled and nodded, having no issues with their idea. You then shifted your attention to Rayne, who gave you an encouraging nod. He, too, as it goes without saying, would be staying with you, but he also felt glad that you had such caring friends. He was happy for you knowing how loved you are.
Without waiting any further, you lifted the new wand that you bought at Castle Town and started mustering out your magical energy. The wind blew strongly as a massive magic circle appeared at the ground underneath the citizens. At the same time, you could feel Yashka's magic through her cat-shaped clone sitting on your shoulders. It was as if you were connected with her, as you can feel her strong magic mixed with the feeling of the Gate being opened.
"Worldeater!" You chanted, allowing your energy to pour out as the magic circle expanded, covering the entirety of the people in front of you. As a second magic line appeared across your face, a second magic circle also materialized avove the citizens, emitting a white glow.
Rayne's eyes widened when he felt how strong the surge of your magic was, but more than that, he felt proud of your capability. He watched you with awe as you continued to work on your spell.
With a huge burst of light and a strong gush of the wind from the force of your magic, the magic circles disappeared and so did the people of Magic Realm. At the same time, you felt the Gate closing just as Yashka's clone in cat form vanished from your shoulders. Before she did, you heard her utter, "Well done. I'll see you later."
