-The Next Morning

When I woke up with Shane beside me, I started playing with his hair. Today, he had to go back to work, which was good because I could get a lot done. I looked over and saw that it was 4:00 a.m., so I easily got out of bed and took a shower. Then, I went into the bedroom to see Shane still asleep, so I went into our closet to change.

Next, I went into the bathroom and started working on my hair, doing a braid, done a little bit of makeup

Then, I walked out of the bedroom and into the kitchen to fix myself some cereal and coffee. After eating, I washed my dishes. Then, I went back to the bedroom and saw Shane still sleeping - he doesn't get up until 5:00 a.m. So, I quietly went into the bathroom and gathered the dirty clothes and went to the laundry room to get started on that.

After getting the clothes into the washer, I looked at my phone and saw that it was almost time for Shane to wake up. I walked to the kitchen to get his breakfast ready. As I turned around, I saw Shane leaning on the kitchen door, looking like he had just gotten off the phone.

"Hey baby, what's wrong?"

I asked him. He shook his head and made his way towards me, giving me a kiss.

"Nothing, sweetheart. Breakfast looks good."

I smiled at him and told him to go have a seat, and I would bring his plate to him. While he ate, I cleaned up my mess, then joined him with my coffee.

We enjoyed our breakfast together, chatting about our plans for the day. After we finished eating, Shane helped me clean up the kitchen, and then he headed off to get ready for work.

As he was getting dressed, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this life we've built together. It's not always easy, but moments like these make it all worth it.

Shane came over to me and gave me a kiss goodbye.

"I'll see you tonight, baby,"

he said, smiling.

"Have a good day."

"You too,"

I replied, watching as he walked out the door.

The rest of the day flew by quickly. I got a lot done, including finishing my laundry and running some errands, made an doctor appointment to the baby. Before I knew it, it was time to start getting ready for dinner.

As I was setting the table, I heard the door open and Shane walked in, looking tired but happy.

"Hey, baby,"

he said, giving me a kiss.

"How was your day?"

"It was good,"

I replied, smiling.

"How about yours?"

We sat down to eat, enjoying our meal together and talking about our days. It was a quiet, ordinary evening, but it was perfect.

As we finished up and were getting ready for bed, I realized that this is what happiness feels like. It's not always grand or exciting, but it's the little moments like these that make life worth living.

I took a shower done my skincare then changed into my pj's.

Then I snuggled into bed beside Shane, feeling grateful for this life we've built together

" I scheduled a doctor's appointment to see the baby next week."

" Ok baby"

He said then kiss my forehead.

"I love you,"

I said, looking up at him.

"I love you too,"

he replied, smiling and wrapping his arms around me.

And with that, we drifted off to sleep, ready to face whatever tomorrow might bring.
