Mom led us to the quarry to camp As we entered, unfamiliar faces turned to greet us.

"Everyone, this is my daughter Rebecca and her boyfriend Shane," Lori announced.

An older man with a hat stands up, extending his hand.

"Welcome I'm Dale"

Me and Shane shake his hand. A young blonde hair woman smiled warmly.

"I'm Amy Glad you're here."

Another blonde hair girl smile at us.

"I'm Andrea I'm Amy sister"

A young Asian man came forward

"I'm Glenn And the two men over there are Merle and Daryl Dixon, And there others but they went to the city to get some supply's"

Me and Shane look at the two men I gave them a small wave while Shane just nodded his head.

Carl, still clinging to my side looked at me with a smile.

As we settled in, I sensed a mix of curiosity and caution.

~~~
We were all sitting around the fire eating some Squirrel that the younger Dixon Daryl caught.As night fell,  I help an older woman name Carol I helped Carol with the dishes, scrubbing the pots and pans clean. She smiled warmly, thanking me.
"Get some rest, dear. You must be exhausted,"
Carol said.
I nodded, smiling back.
"Thanks, Carol."
Shane waited for me by our makeshift bed, a quiet spot near the quarry's edge.
"Ready for bed?"
he asked, his eyes soft in the fading light. I nodded, taking his hand. We walked to our bed, Carl already asleep nearby, wrapped in a blanket. He wanted to stay with me so mom agreed with it.
I slipped off my shoes, then unbuttoned my jeans, sliding them off. Shane watched, a gentle smile on his face.
I pulled off my shirt, revealing a simple tank top underneath. I put my last clean pj's on.
Shane's eyes lingered, his expression tender.
"Love you,"
he whispered.
"Love you too,"
I replied. We climbed into bed, Shane's arms wrapping around me.
The night sounds – crickets, frogs, and distant walkers – faded into the background as I drifted off to sleep, safe in Shane's embrace.
