After lunch. I grab my book and my throw blanket and go outside to read.

I just need some privacy.

It was pretty chilly outside, but I figured he'd be less likely to bother me if he didn't see me.

"Emily! Get your ass inside! It's freezing outside." He booms, yanking my book from my hand. Thankfully, I put my bookmark where I was.

He yanks my arm, practically dragging me inside as I hold onto my blanket, which does very little to keep me warm.

He clenched his jaw in anger. Before releasing it. Running his hand through his hair.

"Next time you want to go outside, you ask me. Do you understand?"

He asks, kneeling to my eye level.

"Ok?" I say it with a question and sass.

I hear one of his men laugh at me.

"Lei non ha idea di chi sei," Harry says with amusement.

{She has no idea who you are.

Alexander just shoots him a look, and he turns around.

"Now, Emily, you know better than to disrespect me. You know what happens when you do, huh? Do you want to end up over my knee?" He asks me, still looking at me and smirking.

That gross, insufferable little man.

"No," I state plainly. My cheeks are burning from embarrassment.

"Well then, I suggest you change your attitude; don't make me correct you again." He says, looking at me

I bite my tongue from digging myself into a hole I couldn't get out of.

"Okay." I try to say it without attitude.

"Now, next time you want to leave this house to go outside, you are to inform me. Do you understand?" He asks again.

I didn't see the big deal; I was just on the porch.

"Okay." I'm trying my best not to roll my eyes.

"No, I need you to tell me that you understand." He says he is crossing his arms over his chest. Making him even more intimidating if possible.

I huff "Okay, I understand." I said, looking at him.

"Come sit by the fire; you're still freezing. You could have at least put a coat on Emily." He says sterner before dragging me by my upper arm to sit by the fireplace.

"Non capisce quanto sia pericoloso senza quanti nemici hai," Tony says to Alexander, who nods in agreement.

{she doesn't understand how dangerous it is outside and how many enemies you have}

{from our reports, your wife has been seen having multiple affairs on her trip, and their father is planning on retrieving her}

Alexander just shakes his head.

{Had I known there were options, I wouldn't have picked her. That slut. I wonder if there's a way to change my pick. }

Tony clears his throat. He looks at me and looks back at Alexander as he says, "Beh, se sei un divorzio serio? Forse ingannarli come pensano di fare con te. Falle firmare i documenti per il divorzio della tua vera moglie. Falle firmare nuovi documenti di matrimonio. assicurati che i documenti siano in Italiano inventa una scusa perché dopotutto siamo in Italia."

{well, if you are serious about divorce? Perhaps trick them like they think they are doing to you. Get her to sign your real wife's divorce papers. Have her sign new marriage papers. Make sure the papers are in Italy. Make up some excuse why, after all, we are in Italy. }

{get ahold of my lawyer to draw the contracts}.

"Sì capo, capisco," Tony replies. Before abruptly walking away.

{yes, boss, I understand}

I sit by the fire, reading my book. Alexander walks to me, placing his hand on my head. "You're starting to warm back up." He says this to me, looking down on me.

"Well, fire tends to do that," I mumbled to myself.

"Lei è una sputafuoco, sei sicuro di voler cambiare idea, sembra che sarebbe una manciata," Harry says with a laugh.

{she is a spitfire; are you sure you want to change your mind; she seems like she'd be a handful}

Alexander just smirked before sitting down on the couch, staring at me as I felt his intense gaze.

"Sicuramente, sai che mi piacciono le sfide," Alexander relies on him.

{definitely, you know I like a challenge.}

"Emily, baby, why don't you sit by me?" He suggests

"I'm alright, thanks, though," I replied, not looking at him.

I hear a muffled chuckle.

"Emily I wasn't asking. Come sit by me." He says he is picking a movie.

I frown to myself; I don't want to sit by him. I just need to play the part for a little longer. You can do this. I get up and sit next to him, which is kind of far away. Until I was yanked to him by my arm as he firmly grasped it. I sit next to him, smelling his aftershave and cologne. Intoxicating.

I continued reading my book as the movie began to play. He softly took the book from my hand, marking it for me. Setting it off the coffee table.

"I haven't seen you in weeks; I'd like to watch this movie with you, if you don't mind, Emily." He says this to me, tilting his head slightly.

"Okay," I say, turning my gaze to the TV as I bring my legs to my chest. Getting comfortable.

I rest my head against my knees, and the soft blanket rests against my legs.

Eventually, he came back and said, "L'avvocato li sta elaborando adesso. stesso contratto dell'ultima volta."

{The lawyer is drawing them up now. Same contract as last time.}

Before sitting on the couch and watching TV, As he sits down, I notice the metal gun hidden in his waistband.

What the hell? I tell myself. Why does he have a gun?
