The morning light shined softly through the blinds, casting a warm glow in the room. Alexander's arm was still wrapped possessively over my waist.
I moved and gently slipped out of bed, trying my best not to wake him.
I woke up with a feeling of the score from last night's punishment still lingering on my bottom. Immediately he woke up his eyes. Scanning the room, "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice gruff. "I just wanted coffee," I said, rubbing my eyes.
He reluctantly lets go of my waist. I slip out and head downstairs, my pride and bottom still sore.
I went to the kitchen to make some coffee, the smell filling the space.
As I worked, I heard Alexander walk behind me. He appeared in the doorway, his gaze intense yet tender. "Good morning," he said, his voice carrying a hint of authority.
"Good morning," I replied. He walked over, pulling me close with a firm grip. "I need to remind you of something. Even though last night was difficult, it needed to be done. I have rules for you, Scarlet; the most important is your safety. It's over with now; we can still go on our honeymoon."
"Honeymoon?" I repeated confused a honeymoon.
Alexander's expression softened, and a small chuckle left his lips. "Yes, our honeymoon. I planned this trip as a surprise trip. Regardless of the punishment from last night, it's done and been handled. I don't think you will try something like that again, I blinked, trying to process his words.
He continued, his tone serious but gentle. "I want you to stay close and enjoy this trip. Run off again where I have to find you; there will be much worse consequences next time; it'll be with a paddle. Trust me, there isn't a corner in the world where I couldn't find you." He tells me in a scolding voice.
His gaze was steady. I want you to understand that running away and putting yourself in danger won't be tolerated. I need you to be my good girl and trust me when I say I will keep both of us safe."
I nodded, his stare down making me feel like I did something wrong. "I'll stay close," I said with a light pout. My pride was bruised. My bottom still hurts.
Alexander's hand tightened around my waist. His thumb lightly brushes over my lip as I look down.
"Good. This trip is for us to strengthen our bond. We are married, and you deserve a honeymoon. If you follow my lead, it will be a memorable time for both of us."
I glanced over at Alexander as I sipped my coffee. "What about our bags?" I ask concerned. Alexander smiled at me. "I've already got the bags packed and in the car. After we have breakfast, we'll get dressed and head to the airport."
I looked at him and nodded. "Okay, that sounds like a plan." He reached out and gently touched my arm.
"Just relax. Okay. I've got everything handled. We're going to have a great time, I promise." his fingers brushed the area.
I took a deep breath. "Thank you,".
Alexander gave me another smile before releasing his grip on my waist. "Finish your coffee, and then we'll get ready to go. I can't wait for you to see where we're going."
Alexander's grip on the steering wheel was firm; his jaw set in determination. Occasionally I would catch him looking at me, his eyes both a mixture of authority and affection. At the private terminal, I looked at the jet, my eyes widening.
"We're going on a jet? Not a plane?"
Alexander nodded, a small, reassuring smile on his lips. "Yes, a jet. I prefer it for the privacy and comfort it offers."
I look at the jet, "But why? Why do you have a jet? I ask.
He chuckled softly, taking my hand and pulling me with him. "I like to keep some things secret. But today is about making this memorable for us. Let's get on board so we can enjoy this trip."
As we boarded, I felt a mix of anxiety and anticipation. Alexander had hoped to do something truly special for our trip. I didn't even know it.
Alexander led me to this man who checked our documents and assured us that everything was for their flight. "Your bags have already been taken care of," another guy says, pointing to a set of neatly packed travel cases.
As we boarded, a flight attendant welcomed us with a warm smile. "Welcome aboard. Everything is ready for your departure." Alexander settled into the seat, gesturing for me to join him.
"Everything's taken care of," he said. "Relax"
"What's our destination?" I ask him, arching my brow up at his mysteriousness.
Alexander's lips curled into a smile. "It's a surprise." As the jet began to take off, I settled into the seat.
As the jet climbed into the sky, my nerves started to get the better of me. The gentle hum of the engines that had been soothing now seemed loud, and the turbulence made me grip the armrest tightly. I glanced out the window, looking at the ground like it seemed to disappear under us, and a wave of panic began to wash over me.
Alexander noticed my distress and leaned over; his hand took mine. "Are you okay?" he asked me.
I tried to take a deep breath. "I—I didn't expect to feel this way. It's moving so fast, and it's so high up."
Alexander nodded "It's normal to feel this way if you're not used to flying. Just think, baby, we're in the safest, most comfortable place you can be. The crew is trained for anything that is to happen. We both know I would never take you somewhere unsafe.
He gently squeezed my hand. "If you need anything, just let me know. I'm here with you." I nodded, and my breathing slowly came back to normal as I focused on his hand that covered mine, his thumb lightly brushing my knuckles. Making me feel safe in that moment.
