It's a normal occurrence that Ari doesn't get enough sleep, given the nightmares she's had before. But whatever the fuck that was? It was downright traumatizing, the most fucked up sleep paralysis she's ever had in her entire life(s)!

She didn't even notice that the creature just disappeared once the first light of the sun touched her window. Just staring at the spot with widen eyes, of course she'd blink when her eyes stung but she'd stare for as long as she could. Jolting and snarling when the door to the room she's in is knocked on and then opened. Ari stops snarling when she see's that it's Ruby however.

For a brief moment Ari can see a small trace of disappointment in her face, but she can't tell if it's that or if it's just Ruby's resting face.

"Get dressed. Master Seymor is expecting you for breakfast."

"Right.. Is what I'm wearing fine?"

Ruby rolls her eyes at the child, this irks Ari but she bites back her tongue and wants to say harsh words.

"Clothing that might fit you is in the dresser."

She didn't bother giving any more of an explanation before closing the door. Ari sighs, rolling off of the bed and landing on the carpet with a 'oof' then standing up to look for the commode. It's a quick find though, marching over to it and sliding open each drawer to look at its contents. At first Ari just finds clothing that won't fit her, either because it's too small or it's really smelly and worn out.

Yet thankfully she managed to dig out a large shirt that was somewhat clean and some shorts that looked new. The only thing that looked brand new if she were frank. Ari scampers back to the bed, looking for the book that she was reading last night. However it becomes apparent that the raccoon had lost it. Because even when she dismantled the bedding and reassembled it she couldn't find it.

Even checking the desk, under the bed, anywhere! There was not a single trace of it's existence seemed to be there, she almost believed that she dreamt it up— even though she didn't sleep- or that she just imagined it.

Placing the pillows back in its spot there was a knock at the door, loud and scaring Ari outta her wits when it happened so unexpectedly.

"Are you done? We've got to go already!"

The eight year old was starting to not like Ruby. Glowering and grumbling under her breath about how shitty the day was starting Ari changed swiftly, folding her clothing and leaving them on the foot of the bed. Then she opens the door and steps out to see Ruby leaning on the wall with her arms crossed.
