Ep. 3 (4/4)

A how to guide for dressing perfectly to woo your date & their relatives! (Future wife addition)

*This chapter is the only chapter where Khun Nueng's Grandmother will be addressing her as 'Khun Nueng' because of her public status (and also for the humiliation of Anueng's grandmother).

Narrator's POV:

Anueng was stunned the moment she saw Khun Nueng walk into the event.

The black dress complimented Khun Nueng's body perfectly and hung off the Sippakorn's shoulders, revealing much to be desired, but still holding an elegant style to it.

The only thing Anueng didn't like was Chet walking in with her with a matching black suit. Anueng swallows her jealousy though, and just focuses on her Khun's beauty as she walks closer.

"Sawasdee ka, Ajarn." She greeted. "Long time no see."

"Sawasdee ka, Khun Nueng. I thought I wouldn't get to see you again." Ajarn greeted back politely.

"Almost, but I decided to come. Make some connections."

Ajarn nodded and excused herself as someone had called her name. As she walked away Anueng and Khun Nueng locked eyes, staring adoringly at one another.

"Hello Nueng, how are you?"

Anueng swallowed harshly, her throat had suddenly gone dry.

"I'm good! G-great...you look-"

"You."

Their conversation was interrupted by Anueng's grandmother. She has stepped in between the Neung's looking at the Sippakorn with distaste.

"I knew you looked familiar...you were talking with Anueng outside the gate!"

Khun Nueng was surprised by this.

She had seen her? But how??

Did Anueng get in trouble?

A vision of Khun Nueng's first encounter with Anueng's grandmother flashed in her mind.

~Flashback

"Who are you?"

"She was just walking me back-"

"I wasn't asking you, Anueng. Now tell me, who are you?"

"I'm Nueng's friend."

With that answer Anueng's grandmother yanked her away from Khun Nueng's side.

"Anueng doesn't need any friends." The old lady proclaimed.

She looked at Anueng in disappointment but the sight of the rolled up paper in her hand caught her attention.

She snatched the paper out of Anueng's hand and opened it up, revealing the drawing of her.

The grandmother's hands shook with fury as she shot Khun Nueng a sharp look.

"I thought it was a guy who was drawing pictures to flirt with Anueng, but in actuality it was you!"

The grandmother ripped up the drawing piece by piece, leaving a distraught Anueng and a perplexed Khun Nueng at the action.

"You're not worthy to be Anueng's friend! Just look at you...where do you even come from? Don't let me see you close to my granddaughter again!"
