"That's right, Jacob. I know all the classes I want to enroll in are closed, but you're going to find me a place in them anyway."
"Mister Maximus, I understand your family's significant contributions to the school. We've allowed you late registration in recognition of that, but I simply can't create space that isn't there."
Christoph rested his forearms on Jacob's desk and leaned in closer. His golden irises glowed as he spoke in a hypnotizing voice, soothing and charming. "Jacob, I'd really like you to understand how badly I need to be in these classes. You'll do whatever it takes to make that happen."
Jacob nodded. "Yes, Mister Maximus. Absolutely. I understand."

"Well, that's that," Christoph said, holding his phone as he left the room. There was a little pep to his step as he made his way down the hall.
"Oh, you're bad, bro. Can't believe you just used your powers on that guy," a voice replied from the other end of the phone.
"Just a little friendly persuasion, nothing to get upset about, Erik."
"You're the one always telling me not to use my compulsion on humans, and here you are..."
"Rome," was all he said. There was a brief silence on the other end of the phone. "That's right, I needn't remind you."
"Yeah, whatever. Alright, so what's next?"
"Did you seriously forget the plan already?"
"Man, there's literally a hot girl around every corner you turn here... Did you just see that--? No, of course not because you're still in the building.""Well, that answers my question," Christoph said, shaking his head. "I look for Cecelia, you catch up with that loser who was trying to hit on her in class."
"What's so important about that doofus again? Why can't we just talk to her?"
"Because that isn't the plan. Quit it."
"Fine. I'll meet you back at the restaurant when I'm done. I'm starved." He hung up the phone.*****
"Hey, you!" Erik called to a pretty girl with red hair wearing a short skirt. She turned around, startled by Erik's dashing good looks and striking blue eyes. Most girls were.
"Hey, umm," she bit down on her lip, "I know you, right?"
"Yeah, I'm Erik. We have--" he looked down at the book in her hand "Contemporary Math together!"
"Wait, we do? I didn't notice you in there, and I think I would remember."
"I walked in late," he said smoothly. "Real late." He flashed her his signature grin. "What's your name?"
"I'm Margot," she said, smiling back and twirling a strand of her red hair around her finger.
"I was wondering if you'd do me a favor, Margot."
"A favor? What kind of favor?" she blushed.
"I work for Max Lounge. You might've heard of it. It's kind of a big deal." He winked at her."Max Lounge?" she said. "Yeah, that does sound familiar!"
"Cool, so this is what I need you to do," he said with a large grin on his face and leaned in to whisper in her ear.

Cecelia and Evette were standing in line at Chipotle, waiting patiently until Evie couldn't take it anymore.
"I'm done."
"You're not hungry anymore?" Cecelia asked.
"No. I'm done waiting. This is taking forever, Cecelia! My stomach's starting to eat itself."
