"Waaaake up, Ceceeeeeliaaaa," Evette sang from beneath the blankets. "Tiiime for claaass."

"I'm not going," Cecelia huffed, pulling a pillow over her head.

"What's wrong with you? You've been moping around like a loser all weekend and all day yesterday," Evie said, tugging at the covers. But Cecelia held on, rolling herself up into a cocoon.

"It's been almost a week since I've heard from him, ugh," Cecelia groaned into the mattress. "What's wrong with me?"

"Nothing's wrong with you. Now come on, it's time to get up, Cecelia." Evie gripped the corners of the comforter near Cecelia's feet, gritting her teeth before tugging with all her might. The cover unraveled from Cecelia's body, flying into the air and sending Evie tumbling to the ground.

"Oughfff," she groaned as she hit the floor. "Dammit, woman. I was trying to be nice and not spoil the surprise, but I'm done!" She huffed, untangling herself from the covers before standing up. "Get your butt out of bed because you have a package."

Cecelia took the pillow off her face and sat up.

Her eyes lit up. "A package?"

"Yeah," Evie said, walking over to the desk and lifting a basket of yellow flowers. She brought it to the edge of Cecelia's bed. "You have an admirer. Obviiii," Evie snickered and walked away.

Cecelia shifted around, making herself comfortable until she was sitting with her legs folded beneath her and the basket on her lap.

What beautiful flowers, she thought as she unwrapped the plastic casing, fiddling with the knot. As it came undone, a small envelope dropped onto her comforter. She picked it up, staring at her name elegantly written in black ink.

"There's a card!" she called to Evie.

"Don't care!" Evie shouted back from the bathroom.

"Fine, whatever," Cecelia huffed. "Your loss." She grinned, redirecting her attention back to the flowers.

The bouquet was stunning. It was an assortment of yellow, orange, and sunburst roses, with daffodils surrounding a large sunflower. Sunflowers were her favorite. Tucked into the corner of the basket, aside from the bouquet, was a single white rose, like a subtle message all on its own.

She turned the envelope over and undid the seal. Inside wasn't really what you'd call a card, but a single piece of thick papyrus decorated with unique and elegant script. On the front, it read:

Smile, because it's Tuesday & you're beautiful.

Color flooded her cheeks, and she fought against the grin that spread across her face. She turned the sheet over. There was more.
