Chapter 13 : Silence before Strom

ALESSIA'S POV :

Last day in jin's village :

We are now standing outside for his house. It's time to leave. Jiwoo is in my arms and Jin is talking to his grandma about something. Lia and other people from the village are also here for a good bye. I wanted to live a few more days here but work calls.

Jin : Take care Halmoni.

She smiled and came near me. She placed her hand on my head and patted it gently.

Grandma : Take care dear. And...take care of my jin also. He is really a good man. Maybe you don't know him too well because you are newly married to him but you will get to know him as time passes.

I felt a pang of betrayal towards her because her innocent soul doesn't know that it's all a contract. This marriage and all are a contract of 2 years. When she would know it then what even she will think towards me ? I don't want to imagine it. The only thing i want now is to hug her and tell her that I'll take care of her grandson and Jiwoo.

I looked at jin who is looking down. Must be thinking about all this. I know. We know. We both are lying. I smiled at her and hugged her without saying anything because I don't want her to catch my lying eyes.

Alessia : I'll take care of him and Jiwoo. Halmoni why don't you come with us too and we will live together?

I asked her when her smile widened and she looked at jin.

Grandma : Dear. This is Where I belong. My last wish is to die here only. If I have to go to your big city then i would have gone so long ago with jin. But I'm glad you asked me about this. You are really so precious and pretty.
Don't worry I'll stay here so that whenever you all will come to your hometown there will be an old grandma who will take care of you.

I smiled at her genuine reply and nodded.

Lia came running towards me crying and hugged me.

Lia : Unnie it was so nice to meet you in real. You are so good.

I hugged her back. She is so sweet. She has a big dream to be a doctor in Seoul. In these few days we got so close and she thinks I'm her role model.

Lia : Unnie till now I saw you either on the tv screen or read about you from so many magazines. I can't believe you are standing infront of me.

Alessia : Lia. Look at me. Don't cry. See now I'm always here for you. Study hard and be a great doctor. And if you need any kind of help then just remember me once okay ? All the best for your future.

She nodded as I caressed her hair and nodded back. I turned to grandma.

Alessia : Okay Halmoni. I wished to stay here a bit longer but his work and my work calls. We have to leave. But I'll come back again.

She nodded understanding me and jin's situation. She took Jiwoo for one last time and kissed her all over her face. Jin hugged his grandma and sat in the car. I took Jiwoo and hugged grandma one last time before sitting beside him. After a few minutes of final gratitudes we left from there.

Jin : Thanks.

He said all of a sudden while we crossed the entrance of his village. I looked at him questionable.

Jin : For giving so much love to them. For asking my grandma to live with us. Im sure she must be felt so happy.

I smiled. This is not who I'm. Why I did that ? Where my all ego go I don't even know. From where all this good behaviour were coming I don't know.
I shook my head and smiled. This journey was overwhelming.
