"Well, he was fun to talk to" Asami said feeling the winds rushing again. Her and Korra had just said their goodbyes to Zuko as he'd then had to go. Korra gave a prolonged huff, "Because you're boning his kid's kid?" she jabbed receiving narrowed green eyes. "I'm not boning shit," Asami scoffed with annoyance shadowing her tone, "And even if I was, that's not the reason I enjoyed having one conversation today that didn't end with a migraine" she hissed. Korra gave a telling look that could only indicate at disbelief, "I don't think my voice is the thing giving you a migraine, princess." She gestured her palm to her, "You drank eight large coffees-- and whilst looking at stressful shit"
"Don't parade yourself with concern when you're the cause of all this!"
That did it, Korra was tired of the constant blame being cast upon her for something once considered mutual misgivings. Maye it wasn't her fault but the Sato's entirely, I mean, she lied about telling her to take photos too.
"I'm not the cause of your victim mentality or failing grades-" "Failing grades my ass, I have never once gotten below a ninety six I'll have you know," Asami folded her arms across her chest.
Korra scoffed, she walked closer to Asami with the distance now forcing her to have to look up at the jade eyed girl, "Why can't you say sorry like a normal person?" a fatigued sigh escaped her lips, now set in a thin line. "For what even?" The wind pushed for a raise Asami's voice. "For forgetting to take the photos too" Korra gave an angry pout her words were fans of irritation but Asami found the action nothing less than adorable. She smiled, "I'm sorry for forgetting to take photos" Asami worded looking down at her, the apology raised way too much suspicion.
Eh..?
Korra took a step back, "Wh... what are you- why did... did you just say sorry?" she unconsciously held a breath narrowing her eyes at her.
Asami shrugged, "You asked me to" she stated with a smile that Korra couldn't read a single piece of information from, more so backhanded. "Yeah, but, you're not supposed to comply" the hockey player took in a cold breath and Asami hummed in indifference "And why wouldn't I?" she slightly took back her lower lip. Korra's oceanic gaze dropped noticing the motion, "Well... because... I don't- I don't, you're not" she choked on her words suffocating in confusion. Not even ten minutes ago she was snapping back at Korra like normal, now she was, being weird. "You're just not supposed to" she scratched behind her neck leaving her hand there. Asami tilted her head, "Do you not want me to?" she asked."I uh I do..." Korra stared at her analytically for almost too long, "But you shouldn't- want to" "Are you feeling cold?" Asami raked a hand through her hair sweeping it from her face before tucking it back in the cross she had her arms in. "What?" Korra croaked at the random question. The last time she'd felt this much confusion was on that history test that had absolutely nothing to do with what was inside the text book. Asami shrugged inertia, "Well you're stuttering a lot so" her viridescent view fell for a splice of a moment before climbing back to blue, "You're cold?" she suggested.
Korra peered at her briefly before looking to the side and letting out a scoff in an almost hiss, "So it's-" "Or." Asami disrupted in a mild raise of tone, she pointed at her with a pleased smirk, "Or, maybe you're just a piece of shit who's shocked someone is deciding to be the bigger person for once," a slow raise of her palm facing downwards stopped right by the top of her rose lips, she looked at her hand then back at Korra with the intervention of a single blink. Her smirk tugged partially wider now showing her teeth as she lowered it slightly, " 'Bigger person' " was said in a whisper before seething.
Korra's mouth was set in a tight line with her brows hugged together as she glared at Asami. She took in a prolonged breath and exhaled it in an inaudible quake. "I actually really don't like you" she muttered. Asami raised her brows, "Really? I'm heartbroken, I kinda thought you were just pretending to love me" she said and a split millisecond displayed such an unprecedented emotion in Korra's eyes it snapped. "Wait-- fuck, no. I didn't... I wasn't" She didn't know what was happening but she knew what it was doing to her heart, dropping it down twenty five stories "I swear I didn't mean-" "Asami I don't give a shit, let's just get this over with" Korra hummed turning away to look back at the planetarium's main entrance.
"I do though, and I'm s-"
"-Top."
"-Stop," Korra sighed, "Saying sorry, it's irritating" she pointed to the door, "We're supposed to be photographing not fucking" a click of her tongue. Asami stayed silent for a moment, "Okay, but um we can't" she said walking over to the door, she looked at Korra then at the silver lock and tapped it, it's metal was cold to the touch. "Locked, remember?" she stated making no difference to Korra who then went over to the Sato, "Can you move your arm?" Asami lifted her arms in a surrender like pose allowing for Korra to stick her hand inside of the sweater's pocket and rummage for something.
Oh
"Did you see a purple pin in here?"
Asami's heart beat muffled that whole sentence, if that moment was a cartoon they'd be a few pretty two dimensional cardinals going in circles around her head with a certain shape in their eyes. Her ears were flooded with her hearts rapid beating that seemed to increase it's pace with every second against her rib cage like a wild animal trying to escape it's captured state. "It's kinda like a bobby pin but more pointy" Korra was in search of it to pick the lock unbeknownst to the Sato.
It all went downhill for Asami when she felt her neck pick up an unbearable heat that no winter's wind could seem to get rid of. There was a tingling sensation on her tongue to just open her mouth and tell Korra to move her hand lo- "Alright, you search for it." Korra puffed and took her hand out the pocket before Asami quickly grabbed onto it stopping her, "Wait don't s-" she stopped herself from finishing the breathed sentence with her brain finally returning from it's vacation.
What... the... fuck... is... wrong... with, me?
Asami thought after a crimson flush surfaced on her cheeks. She let go of it and Korra's blue eyes looked at her portraying absence and confusion, she cocked a brow, "Hm?" she hummed but Asami was speechless at herself and could only shake her head.
'Don't stop' ?
'Don't, stop' ?
'Don't.. stop' ?!
I was actually going to say fucking, 'don't stop', to her.
I was going to tell her not to stop doing something that turned me on.
Korra.
I was going to tell Korra to stop innocently looking in her own pocket just because I'm so fucked up it made me want to take her hand and bring it lower..
Lower, where?! And do, what?!
And the way I said it was so desperate what the fuck?!
Plus she heard what Opal and Bolin were saying damnit...
