"And we're here.." Korra muttered under her breath parking the car. She took out the keys and all the lights inside the car then turned off. She looked to her right only to notice Asami had fallen asleep, covered by her red jacket. Her hair was slightly in her face but you could still see her face. She looked so peaceful. So pretty. Korra's gaze fell to her slightly parted lips, they looked so soft, so kissable- Nope! Stop it right now. Korra looked forward so fast she almost got whiplash. They were friends, and she needed to get over this immediately. "Just get this over with." She unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car before walking over to the passenger's. Opening the door the cold weather caused the sleeping beauty to try and cover herself with the not so big jacket.
Korra smiled faintly, "I know, it's so cold." She slipped one of her hands under Asami's back and the other under her legs before lifting her up. "Woah!" Asami gasped when she opened her eyes. "Oh, you're awake?" "You're carrying me, you can carry me!" She exclaimed looking at Korra's eyes, her own as wide as she could get them in that drunken state. "I can." Korra grinned at her shock, Asami's brows snapped together, she pointed at her, "And you're touching me!" she added. Korra hummed kicking the car door closed. "Why if you don't like it?" Because It's you. "Because you're drunk."
Asami narrowed her eyes, "I told you I'm not drunk. I drank alot but not alcohol." she claimed earning a raised brow, "Okay fine, what did you drink than?" Korra asked. Asami nodded, "Wine." she deadpanned. If Korra's hands weren't occupied she would've done a disappointed facepalm, "That's the same-" she sighed, "Never mind. Let's go inside." Korra started to trek them over to the front door. "You're strong, this snow's seven hundred deep. Plus the geysers could blow any second or you could step into it's hole and drown. But If it's already snowing they must be dormant till the next time they blow, or maybe we're lucky and the snow stops snowing so we water the rings."
Korra furrowed her brows, "What the fuck are you even talking about?" she muttered trying to find any sense of logic in her words. The snow was not seven hundred meters deep and what geysers-- and what rings? Asami grabbed onto her shoulder, "Wait, put me down. If I can examine the climate it'll only take maximum three months for me to come up with an engineering draft then I can work on the actual gathering of suitable materials before building a rover!" she said amazed. Korra stepped over a pile of snow, "Wh... rover? Are you talking about space?" the rest of the stuff she said didn't make any sense.
"No one's landed one here yet! We have the chance to explore the climate and maybe even discover different minerals never seen before-" She paused, her expression fell sour, "Actually I think you should leave. I don't like you right now. I'm very mad at you and don't want to do something as fun as an expedition with you, so," Asami pointed to the car's direction. "Take it and go. You can have them dispatch me another shuttle in three and a half weeks." she snarked. Korra stopped in her tracks as she processed it, "Ohh.." she continued again with an amused smile, "And where am I asking them to set it's coordinates to?"
Asami scoffed, "Dumbass. How stupid of you to not know where we are when it's so obvious." I'll chuck your drunk ass in that heap of snow. "I know where we are, I just forgot where we par-- landed the shuttle and I need our exact coordinates or details so it's not a long walk when it comes." "One hundred forty eight miles from Saturn's center, one ten from it's cloud tops. Mean-motion orbital resonance with Dione, which keeps it's orbital eccentricity, zero point zero zero forty seven, forced eccentricity."
"Uh... so... it sounds like a... a um.. moon?" "Enceladus."
Smartass why couldn't you just say that?
"Okay, I'll tell them that. For now though, we should take shelter in this research station." Korra said taking the last few steps to the front door, the snow was a little bit deeper than she thought it was but it wasn't a hassle. After strategically punching in the code instantly the sound of barking came from inside, Korra swung open the door. Naga was ecstatic to not be alone anymore and her excitement rose to a peak when she saw Asami. "*Ruff!- Ruff!- Ruff!- Ruff!- Ruff!*" she barked jumping up and down. Korra kicked backwards closing the door, "Hey Naga." she greeted the large dog.
Asami smiled, "I knew different planets could genetically evolve an animal's size. Put me down I wanna pet him." "Her." "I wanna pet her." "No, you can pet her tomorrow. It's late and you need to sleep off the happy juice." "I'm older than you Korra. Put me down or I'll..." Asami demanded pointing a finger at her. A second of silence and her thinking of something turned to a few more than more and more and- "You'll what?" Korra taunted with raised brows. She got a bitter glare and hummed. "That's what I thought." she said. Asami grumbled something as she peered at her, "You know what?" "What?" "Fuck you. I'm too tired to deal with you." she placed her hands on Korra's cheeks bringing her face closer, "You are a terrible person for everything. And if I didn't drink like eight glasses of shitty wine I'd beat your ass."
"There's always tomorrow princess." Korra cooed smugly. Asami rolled her eyes, "You always call me princess. I need to come up with a nickname for you that's not just dumbass." she placed a hand on her chin in thought, Korra continued towards the staircase and Naga followed. She stopped in front of them. Naga growled playfully lowering her front legs in preparation to jump on them. "Uh-uh, no, no girl." Korra warned.
Naga only wagged her tail faster trying to jump on the two. Korra moved to the side before a catastrophe could happen, "Oi, what did I just say?" she grumbled at the dog. Asami gasped tapping Korra's shoulder repeatedly, "Motherpucker! No- wait, puckface! Ooh, wait wait what about... puckwad?" she giggled covering her mouth. Korra sighed and walked across the lounge then up the stairs to the second floor. Naga followed, her footsteps making small trudging stomps when she hopped each step not once taking her eyes off of Asami. It was evident the dog had a favorite, and it was not her owner of eight consecutive years.
