author's note:

Greetings everyone, I have made  this note to provide assistance as I address world-building issues within rwby.

The kingdom of Mistral showcases an Asiatic/Japanese aesthetic, and the extra lore materiel  have shown historical information about the world of Remnant, making it rather easy to draw parallels with Japan (particularly in terms of culture and history). However, it is weird that a kingdom inspired by Japan has not delved into this aspect much, nor do any characters exhibit a hint of accent, mannerism or anything to show they come from a very different culture compared to the norm(vale for example. Furthermore, the headmaster of Haven Academy goes by the name LIONHEART?!

Thus in my story the majority of humans in the Anima continent possess a Japanese accent, while the Faunus display a more Kentish accent. This distinction serves to try to explain the origins of the name Lionheart. The supplementary material from RWBY delves into the deep-seated animosity between the humans and Faunus in Anima and Mistral, highlighting the stark differences in their respective cultures. Sadly and weirdly , the show barely mentions this, and never shows it proper.

A Kentish accent is rather straightforward to comprehend and write. Contrarily , the Japanese accent can be quite challenging to write and understand without knowledge of its rules(hell, even reading the online guide I found, it was still hard to understand), as when writing it, it emphasises pronunciation differences can be a bit confusing.

The main rules

Replace Rs with Ls and vice versa, so for example, for example, Right become Light and vice version

Replace URs with ARs, so return become retarn

Rylanor observed the human, Gima Mashiro returned the observation. The name alone and the ashigaru armour already told Rylanor a story...or a theory. This world could have been settled by colonists drawn from the ancient nation of Japan. Especially with Gima having long features and a face with japanese features, his hair was messy and black, with brown eyes, with youthfulness clear and below average height. It seems that when isolated during Old Night, they regressed technologically, but the ashigaru armour appeared more durable than it seemed. He still remembers many brothers hailing from ancient Asia, particularly when the pan pacific empire fell and many sons of the defeated nobility joined the 3rd legion. Rylanor inwardly smiled at the recollection of Meijor, a brother from the second batch ever of the 3rd legion. It was he who introduced the tea drinking custom to the rest of the 3rd legion...Rylanor already had it as he was from Albia, so they quickly became friends...yet the conclusion was filled with sorrow

Gima gazed upon Rylanor. The name was quite peculiar and unusual. It was evident that he had undergone some sort of enhancement, although Gima could not determine what exactly. Perhaps he was a warrior hailing from Atlesian descent? Who knows what wonders of technology they have...and keep for themselves. That could explain his pale skin...however, it did not account for the unfamiliar name and language spoken by the colossal figure. Gima provided the giant with some tattered garments for modesty. Nevertheless, he harboured numerous inquiries regarding Rylanor, particularly regarding his rapid recovery. It was unmistakably not due to aura.

Even as the fire crackled in front of them, both of them were seated on the floor, the fire offering some illumination in the dark night. Gima often observed Rylanor gazing at the stars, confusion and disbelief evident on his boyish face. But how could Gima communicate with the language barrier? The night was chilly, signalling the onset of autumn, yet as Gima approached the fire, wrapped in armour, Rylanor seemed unfazed by the cold. He noticed Rylanor doodling something on the ground with his index finger. Despite the fact that Rylanor used his finger to draw, the level of detail was remarkable. The map depicted numerous continents, but his attention was drawn to a particularly large island off the coast of one of the continents.
