Onyx had never been so glad that Wu had tutored her in disguises until now. She'd braided her hair and covered it with a short brown wig, de-accenting her curves. No one bothered looking twice at the teenage boy, keeping his head down and going about his business. When Onyx did catch a second glance, she merely ducked her head shyly, and they went on their way. She spent almost a day like that before the time to meet up with the others came around.

Onyx swept down towards the flat mountaintop upon her elemental dragon, dispelling it when she vanished. Everyone except Jay was there. Kai started when he looked at her. "Geez, I always forget how good you are at costumes," he said. Lloyd smiled tightly. "I can tell it's you. Your eyes are still the same," he murmured. Onyx returned his smile.
"Seriously? I'm the last one here?" Jay groaned, finally arriving. "It'll only be a matter of time before they find this place, so there isn't much time. Zane, show them what you found," Lloyd said the moment he was on the ground. "I came across security footage of Sensei at the Library of Domu. He was not alone," Zane said, crossing over to a flat stretch of stone and opening his eyes wide, projecting into it.
Onyx crouched down and watched. Wu was sitting at a small table, reading a scroll. Suddenly, there was a small puff of smoke, Wu's head jerked up, and the footage cut off. Onyx's eyes narrowed. This didn't give them anything to go off of, but she suddenly had the feeling that something terrible had befallen Wu. "What happened? Who was he looking at?" Kai asked, eyes narrowed. Cole shook his head. "We don't know, but no one's seen him since," he said. Onyx's head jerked up. "He's missing?" She asked.
Zane nodded. "Unfortunately, yes. The library database indicated he had checked out a book about the Teapot of Tyrahn. We originally thought we might be dealing with Clouse. If this is what I think it is, it appears to be far worse. We may have a djinn on our hands," he said. Onyx frowned. She'd heard the term but couldn't quite recall what it was. "A djinn?" Jay asked. Nya scowled. "Like a genie, only when he grants you wishes, you'll be wishing you never met him," he said. Onyx bit her lip, remembering now. "That's right... they twist your words to make you suffer," she said.
Lloyd's brow furrowed. "What else do we know about djinn?" He asked. "Hmm. Not much, just that they are very sneaky and have great power..." Kai murmured thoughtfully. Onyx noticed that Jay was smiling and raised an eyebrow. Zane noticed as well and pulled Jay aside. She would've listened in had Lloyd not chosen that moment to speak.
"Then it's settled. Since we know so little about djinn, we need to head back to town to investigate more about him," he said. Onyx nodded. "We have several libraries. We should start there," she said. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. If we head back together, the police will arrest us on sight. We should split up," Cole said. "But anyone caught alone with this character suddenly disappears," Kai pointed out. "Then we travel in pairs. Zane, you and I will head to the library to see what else we can find," Lloyd decided.
Jay quickly looped around behind Nya and smiled at her, only for Cole to reach over and grab his arm gently. "Yeah, yeah. And Jay and I will look for clues at the scene of the crime where he framed us. What do you say, buddy, just like old times?" He asked. "Ah, sweet. Who doesn't love old times? Eh?" Jay said with a mirthless chuckle.
Onyx glanced at Lloyd. "We have an odd number," she pointed out. Lloyd nodded. "I know." He waved his hand at the others. "Take your pick," he said. Onyx smirked and stepped slightly closer to him. "As if you needed to ask," she said. Lloyd couldn't quite hide his blush as he gave a final order. "Kai, you and your sister see what else is out there. If we wanna clear our names and get Sensei back, we need to find this djinn and take him down. Let's meet back here at Sunup. Oh, and guys, look out for each other," he said.
