Onyx kept her head down as the ninja were led through the halls of the prison. She was acutely aware of the eyes of the other prisoners on them, and she didn't want to make eye contact. Maybe they were like aggressive dogs-look at them and they'd bite. Jay stumbled and fell as Nya grabbed him. "Whoa, ugh..." he exclaimed with a wince. Cole yanked him back to his feet. "Don't look scared, look mean! You gotta look hard in a place like this," he whispered. Jay tried and failed to harden his expression.

Onyx's eyes narrowed when the prisoners began chanting about fresh meat. This didn't bode well. Warden Noble waved a hand. "Don't mind them, they all get a little grouchy when they don't get their meat," he said. She was about to call bull when a cafeteria worker began to pass out meat, and the prisoners immediately quieted down. Jay chuckled nervously, and Zane glanced around. "Kryptarium Prison, we've been here before, but as guests, never inmates," he murmured.

Lloyd grunted as he struggled to pull his hands out of his cuffs, to no avail. The warden glanced at him. "You can try, but those shackles are made of Vengestone. Pretty good for shutting down your powers, and makin' sure you don't ghost out of here," he said. Cole smirked. "Oh, yeah? But how good are they against my super strength? Just wait, almost got them," he grunted. Onyx and Nya watched, unamused. "They aren't gonna break," the latter pointed out.

Onyx jumped at a familiar grinding voice, and she looked over to see a skeleton glaring at them. "Hey, aren't those the ninja? They're responsible for putting me in this place!" He snapped, yanking off an arm and hitting it against the bars. Cole ducked his head and pulled Jay away from the cell. "And we're shuffling... we're shuffling..." he murmured.

The warden glanced back at them as he scanned a keycard in a door. "Since you're celebrities, I took the liberty of taking you out of the general population..." Kai smirked. "Who doesn't love special treatment?" He asked. "And placing you in the super mean and dangerous population!" The warden finished. Onyx glared at Kai. Nya scowled at him. "Real special, all right," she said sardonically. Lloyd sighed. "It's no problem, warden. We'll do our time until all of this is straightened out. Like I said before, we were framed," Lloyd said with a sigh.

The warden reached into his pocket. "That's what they all say. Now get in your cell, inmates!" He suddenly frowned. "Goddamit, I forgot my keys again. Well, stay here while I go find them," the warden said, spinning around and quickly hurrying down the hallway. Onyx frowned. "Did-did he just leave us alone in a prison with a bunch of criminals who hate us?" She asked. Jay laughed nervously. "A-at least they're locked up. Hehehehe," he said.

Onyx's face fell as a strange man with a bowler hat and prosthetic arm reached through the bars of his cell and pressed a button... causing his cell door to slide open. "Okay, which idiot put that there?" Kai asked. Lloyd put his cuffed hands up slightly. "Nifty gadget. Did you make that?" He asked. The man cracked his organic knuckles. "They call me The Mechanic. And I got a bone to pick with you," he growled. The ninja ignored the jeering and shouting of the other inmates, focusing on the Mechanic. "Well, that's one more bone than you've got in your entire arm. Let me guess, you don't have much of a spine either," Lloyd sniped, his expression betraying his annoyance at this.

The Mechanic scowled, punching his hand into his palm. "I used to repair noodle trucks for Master Chen and his underground organization. When you put him out of business, you put me out of business!" He growled. Zane tilted his head. "Then by my observations, that was your own error. Working for a crime boss isn't a very reliable career choice," he said. Onyx pointed at him. "He does have a point," she agreed. The Mechanic was already mad at them and she was having a bad day. She wasn't pulling any punches.

Of course, their words made the Mechanic even angrier. "By my observation, actions have consequences. And you have to pay! This Nindroid here, it's got spare parts. I could use a few in a place like this," he said, tapping a rusted patch of metal on his arm. The ninja instinctively grouped protectively in front of Zane. "And I could use a spare arm! These chains won't stop us," Lloyd threatened, forming fists. Onyx nodded, sliding up next to him. "Don't underestimate what we can do," she warned.

The warden chose that moment to return with a few guards behind him, and not a moment too soon, as the Mechanic was winding up to throw a punch. "Got my keys! Oh, come on, knuckleheads. Shake hands and be friends," he said. His presence immediately defused the situation, though Onyx didn't concern herself with cleaning up her expression. "Just wait until I get my hands on your Nindroid," the Mechanic muttered as he was shoved back into his cell by a guard.

Another guard turned to the ninja, opening and pushing them into the empty cell before them. "Come on guys, get into your cells," he said. Kai groaned when the cell door clanked shut behind them. "Let's hope Dareth gets us out of here soon. I don't know how much longer we can last in a place like this," he said. Onyx sighed heavily and flopped down on one of the beds, scowling at the striped prison uniforms in the cell. "When I get dressed you guys had better turn around," she said sourly.

When Dareth finally showed up during visitation hours, he did very little to assuage their worries. "What are you doing to get us out of here!?" Cole exclaimed. "This is no place for a Nindroid!" Zane added, glancing around nervously. He'd been slightly shaken since his encounter with the Mechanic earlier. "I don't look good in stripes!" Kai cried. "Is that really the important thing right now?" Onyx murmured. Lloyd pushed Jay out of the way, cutting him off. "Shh. While we're stuck in here, the djinn is out there," he said, leaning towards the phone mouthpiece.

Dareth sighed and rubbed his eyes. "I know, I'm doing everything I can. Borg wanted me to let you know that the djinn broke into Hiroshi's Labyrinth Stronghold and took the Realm Crystal. The good news is everything else is accounted for. The bad news is the djinn may now have his old crew back," he said. Onyx frowned and leaned forward. "What!? How?" She stage-whispered. Dareth shrugged helplessly. Kai leaned forward, accidentally headbutting Onyx. "You have to get us out of here, Dareth. You're our manager. What are you doing to manage this?" He demanded.

Dareth whispered softly into his phone mouthpiece. "Did you get the cake? I baked some tools in it for you to cut through the bars," he said. Onyx frowned in confusion. "Cake? We didn't get any cake," Jay said.

Cole gulped. "Uh, how was I supposed to know there was something in it?! I just thought it was crunchy!" He exclaimed. Onyx glared at him. "You ate our only way out!?" Jay cried. "And you didn't think to share? I don't want to live off of nutraloaf!" Onyx cried. Dareth shrugged. "Well, sounds like you're on your own. Be strong, little ninja," he said before turning and walking away. Onyx tried to throw herself through the glass screen, only for Lloyd to catch her. "Don't make it worse," he said. Onyx bit her tongue, but nodded. "I've had enough of that guy," she hissed.

"What do you mean on our own?" Kai exclaimed. "You're not leaving us in here!?" Jay cried incredulously. "Wait, Dareth!" Kai shouted, but to no avail. Dareth was out of earshot. Onyx scowled as guards appeared to lead them back to their cell. "What now?" She grumbled. No one answered her.

Wattpad is being really weird with my copy/paste. I'll use it for unchanged dialogue from the show, but it keeps putting it in as a really weird small black script. It's still usable, but inconveniencing. I wear glasses for a reason!! I can't see anything far away or up close! Point is, writing is taking much longer now because Wattpad is screwing with me. And we had to replace my phone.

But I do have good news. I auditioned for Dracula: A Comic Thriller... and got cast as Dr. Van Helsing himself! Now, this isn't just Dracula, it's different. I have a daughter. (And Sherlock and Watson have nieces...?) And I'm violently ill with pneumonia the whole time. However, Van Helsing follows the action and drives/narrates the action. However, our cast is so small because not enough people auditioned that we don't even have any ensemble and had to cut out a Draculette. Hence, I will also be doing all of the live sound effects... in character!! More updates to come after the first rehearsal. (Also, one of my best friends is playing my daughter, haha).
