Onyx's eyes scanned the ocean below her for any sign of Misfortune's Keep, Lloyd's energy dragon a few yards away, offering a second pair of eyes. After a few moments, Nya's voice came through their earpieces, letting them know that she and Jay had finally found a clue. "Okay, I've located Nadakhan's ship. It was last recorded to be seen in Gypsy Cove. Three klicks north of Cannon Beach," she said.
"Thanks, Delara. Oh, I mean, Nya," Cole said. He was off scouting a different section of the ocean. Onyx's lips pursed. That comment really wasn't necessary. "Not funny. Let's see how you like it when you look like our enemy's sweetheart," Nya hissed. Lloyd sighed. "Gypsy Cove isn't far. We'll let you know what we see when we get there," he said.
As they flew, Onyx glanced over at Lloyd. "First paparazzi, then inmates, and now wanted criminals. What's next?" She asked sarcastically. Lloyd laughed somewhat tiredly. "Hopefully nothing. We've barely started this whole villain arc thing, and I'm already exhausted," he replied.
After about twenty minutes of flying, Kai and Zane's voices suddenly cut into their intercoms, screaming. Onyx jumped violently and nearly dispelled her dragon. Lloyd raised his hand to his ear. "Guys? Are you alright?" He asked quickly. His question was answered by more shrieking. Nya's irritated voice cut in. "Oh, for the love of-if you can't get the Bounty, then for my sake, just get out of there," she said as Onyx and Lloyd swept down to land in Gypsy's Cove. The two frowned when they noticed a clump of wiring and scrap metal scattered across the stone.
"Get out of here? But I just got here," Cole said from... wherever he was. Nya sighed. "Not you, Cole. Onyx, Lloyd, did you find Nadakhan's ship?" She asked. "Not exactly. But there is evidence of it. Looks like some repairs are made. But this is strange. What is electrical wiring doing on an old pirate ship?" Lloyd questioned. "Maybe they're trying to update it?" Onyx suggested. "Maybe. But it probably already set off to sea," Cole said. Onyx groaned. Great. More searching.
"I'm getting no readings of it anywhere. You'd think a big pirate ship would get someone's attention," Nya murmured. "If Nadakhan's ship's not here, and it's not out there, where is it?" Lloyd asked. "Good question," Nya said. Suddenly, the Police Commissioner's voice was heard through the intercom. "What's a good question?" He asked. Nya gasped softly, and her connection cut off.
Onyx scowled and looked up at the sky. "Now what? The ocean is too big to search without a general area," she said, looking at Lloyd. Lloyd sighed and nodded. "We head back to Ninjago and stay safe until the others are ready to regroup," he said.

'Ready to regroup' took several hours, but eventually the ninja were all able to meet back up in Yang's Tavern, a tiny back-alley bar that also hosted an illegal fight club. "I'm so tired of all this sneaking around," Kai grumbled, cracking his knuckles. "Easy, Kai. We're all itching to get back into action. But so far, two of our own have gone missing, and none of us have yet to lay an eye on him," Lloyd said calmly. Onyx frowned. "That doesn't make it any less frustrating," she pointed out.
"If only we knew someone who had faced him and could tell us what to expect," Zane said. Lloyd sighed, his head coming down to rest on his hand. Onyx gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "I wish Wu were here to guide us," he sighed. Jay immediately jerked up. "No! Don't say that word! I mean, why wish when we have everything we need right here, right? Haha. Go, ninja, go?" He said. Onyx narrowed her eyes. It was painfully obvious he was trying to cover for something.
But speaking of cover... Everyone in the bar now seemed to be staring right at them. "Nice going. You blew our cover," Cole snapped. Nya shook her head, pointing at a television above their heads, displaying an emergency news broadcast. "No, he didn't," she corrected.
