I blinked twice, snapping out of my reminiscence. I calmly touched my chest, no beating.

"What a bother." I hugged the pillow while resting on the sofa.

Faruzan was going back and forth in excitement "my my myyyy oh my goodness, can you believe it?"

Faruzan was my roommate, my dear roommate and also a close friend of mine.

She is as same as me in looks but she explained her time stopped while exploring the ruins and ciphering codes, she ended up frozen in the ruins. The long haired girl couldn't remember how she was released after accepting she had died but she finally made it out of the ruins around four years ago.

The exact time i arrived in sumeru and enrolled in akademiya, she was homeless. Her house from one hundred year ago didn't belong to her anymore so she requested one from the akademiya. When i also asked for a place to stay, that's when we first met.

The two of us received a house in exchange of working and studying at the akademiya. The house looked similar to the one kaveh and alhaitham have and we designed it to our hearts content. This roommate incident brought me and Faruzan closer and since then we became inseparable.

But I'd prefer to know her as my second bestie cause kuki deny the fact i found another close friend in sumeru. She always writes letters to me like she wishes to kill the people around me especially Faruzan.

'How are you doing y/n? Not your roommate, don't yalk about her in your letters i wanna know more about you.'

But now that scaramouche chose her out of the blue, i somehow feel uncomfortable but that's not Faruzan's fault at all. She has no idea who he might be. Actually i also don't have any idea who he really is or who he pretends to be.

He left Tenshukaku five years ago, leaving his family and me behind with so many unanswered questions.

Ei never told me anything, she stayed quiet completely saying he will never return. I was furious to the point if i could find him, I'd definitely killed him but i was worried whether he was dead or alive at the same time.
