chapter 4

Harley's POV

I stared at the young versions of our parents, heart hammering in my chest. Hades and Maleficent, side by side, their presence exuding a palpable aura of power and danger. Their youthful faces bore none of the lines of worry or bitterness that time would eventually etch upon them. They were fierce, vibrant, evil and, to my utter disbelief, undeniably in love with each other.

"Oh my god," I whispered to Hadley. "That really is Mom and Dad."

Hadley nodded, her eyes wide with shock. "How is this even possible?"

"Time travel," Hadley muttered under his breath, his gaze darting nervously between our parents.

"Excuse us we need to get by so we can catch up with our friends" i said

Hades tilted his head, eyes narrowing. "Your friends with Bridget?"

"No not exactly we are transfer students and she is just helping us out," Hadley replied smoothly.

Maleficent's eyes flashed with curiosity. "Transfer students, hmm? Interesting. And what are your names?"

I could feel the tension in the air, the unspoken fear that if they discovered our true identities, it could alter the course of history in ways we couldn't predict. I opened my mouth, scrambling for an alias, but Hadley beat me to it.

I'm Aries and this is  my twin sister circe Hadley said

Maleficent's gaze lingered on me for a moment, and I felt an odd connection. "Circle," she repeated, as if testing the name on her tongue. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all."

"Thank you for your help," I said my voice steady. "We should really go find our friends."

Hades smirked, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Oh, don't let us keep you. But if you need any assistance... well, you know where to find us."

Just as they were about to leave Merlin walked up to us with a smile

Oh wonderful! you four are getting along so well that's a good  thing since you will be roommates Merlin said as Hades and maleficent looked upset about this arrangement and to be honest we weren't happy about it either.

This can't be happening Hades said as he and maleficent took us in different directions

Hadley pov

Hades and maleficent took us in two different directions since apparently the boy dorms were separated from the girls

As we walked there was nothing but silence until we got to the dorm where he showed me my side of the room and where I could put my stuff

Where is your stuff exactly? Hades asked

It got lost. I said lying on the spot.

I watched as he looked at me for moment before speaking

That's sad well don't touch my stuff. He said

Wouldn't dream of it. So what's the deal with uliana? I mean your Hades prince of the underworld. why would you play the sidekick the same thing for maleficent I asked as Hades looked at me for the longest before speaking again

Because we owe her. When I was in Olympus i was a bit on the wild side and caused trouble so I was banished to live among the mortals and have this body and let just say kids are not kind. I was bullied my whole freshman year the same thing happened to maleficent because she has horns on her head. Anyway the next year uliana came and everything changed for us. Uliana was a force to to be reckoned with and she took a liking to us and the rest was history Hades said.

After hearing Hades story I felt bad about blow up at him and mom for not understanding what it was like for me because in reality they knew all to well what it was like.

Look you seem pretty cool and so does your sister so how about after we get you books for the remainder of the school year we come with me to the black lagoon. Hades said

The black lagoon? I asked

Yeah it's uliana's hangout spot. So are you in? Hades said

Sure I'm in. I said

I didn't know what I was getting I to but maybe this was a chance to get to know my dad and also find out what they plan on doing to Bridget I could turn down this opportunity.
