"I need you, idiot."

It was the star of Summer '08, I was only a 13 years old girl, but somehow, I had always felt the urge to grow up. Maybe because all my friends were older than I. I mean, I was the youngest camper this camp ever knew. Yet, it was my eighth summer at camp half blood, or seventh, counting that I kinda runaway last summer. How can everything have just happened in a year. I feel like I had been enduring that pain for at least 10 years. But no, it was only since a year that my life had been a dam living nightmare. And Chris situation wasn't helping, I hit rock bottom. The sleepless night had transformed into nights by Chris side, sometimes with Clarisse. We were probably the two persons who cared about him.
Clarisse and Chris weren't best friends, but they understood each other. Chris knew that behind that tough girl, she was just another broken kid. In a way, half of the kids were just kids with a broken past. Annie had run away when she was seven, same for Luke and I. And our godly parents weren't helping us. They kept on ignoring us. Ares never treated Clarisse like her brothers because she was a girl. But it wasn't a surprise coming from a guy like him.
It wasn't until June 2 that things got tense. Between the start of the summer and now, I had spent all my time working on the labyrinth, we needed to find Luke's plan, and even more, we needed to save Chris. Annabeth, Clarisse, and I were spending most of our time together, trying to find anything about that dam labyrinth. Clarisse had barely escaped it, and it has driven Chris crazy. Let's be real. None of us wanted Luke to use it. But we had one more question, why. The closest entrance was in Manhattan, so no one could perpetrate camp, not Luke and even less his army of monster. But yet, this wasn't really the matter at camp half blood.
Grover had been one of my friends since we arrived, he is the one who brought us to camp so it was obvious that we ended up being pretty close friend. But right now, he was in very deep trouble with the dam old Satyrs of Camp, aka the Council of Cloven Elders. God, I dispite them. They wanted to take away Grover's license plate to search for Pan when he is so close to finding him. But again, Grover had to tell them everything over and over. I know they're old, but can't they actually listen to him. I was on the side watching that scene, by my side were Clarisse, Annabeth, and Juniper, Grover's girlfriend. Later, we were joined by Percy, who had just arrived at camp. While Clarisse gave him a very nice "punk" to say hello instead of trying to kill him, I gave him a smile. One of the dumb satyr, Silenus, was doubting in the truth of Grover story. I mean, it kinda feels crazy that Pan, God of nature, had spoken to Grover, but he is my friend, I believe him. And the other satyr, Maron was talking of Grover like he was some garbage which I didn't really appreciate and I wasn't the only one. Juniper was looking like she was going to kill the old one in any second, but Annabeth and Clarisse were holding her back. Clarisse knew it wasn't a worthy fight, which was why she stopped her, I mean, she loved to fight, but in those times, we had to be smart. But it kind of ended well, I mean, they gave him one more week to find Pan... which was clearly impossible. If he didn't succeed, he would lose his searcher's license that he worked his whole life for. Like how can some Elders could do that, not fair.
Anyway, the council ended, and Grover made his way to us. I was standing next to Clarisse. We had another option for Grover, but neither Juniper nor Grover himself was thrilled by the idea. And as always, Percy didn't have a clue (sorry Percy) what are we talking about. Thankfully, Annabeth was planning on filling him up about everything. Not gonna lie. The council and Grover had taken a little bit of my time since I knew how much his license meant to him that I might have forgotten the cabin inspection. Yes, our cabin was inspected every afternoon, but we needed only five minutes to make a pretty big mess. Let say that the Stolls and I were super messy, and our belongings of the year were still laying on the ground. We were used to it, but today was Silena's inspection, and it is a nightmare. I like Silena, don't get me wrong, but let's say that she is a neat freak and that the Hermes are the opposite. So, as everyone made their way to their cabins, I went back to mine. Let's be real it was the panic. Everyone was stashing dirty clothes under beds and accusing each other of stealing stuff. I went to my bunk, put my stuff under it, and made my bed (vaguely). Few minutes later, Silena arrived had our cabin, some us may have done good but clearly, it was a mess because we had fight over stuff that we may or may not have steal to each other's. Good news, I had found back one of my old drawing books fighting over with another kid. Bad news, we were on dish duty. Let's be clear I'm skipping because we always ended up doing it, and I'm too exhausted to do it.
