"I have a father but never had a dad."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been around a month, since we were joined by Annabeth. We were running in the woods after being chased by monsters once again. Thalia was hurt and Luke was leading the group while holding Annabeth by the hand. I was between them and Thalia who was closing the group. After a while, we arrived at the top of a ridge, there was a white house. I knew this house; it was the place I could have grown if Luke hadn't made his decisions. Luke wanted to go into to steal some foods and meds. I look up at him, worried. I had no memory of the 6 months; I passed in this house , but I had a very weird and scary feeling about it. Luke's reaction of Annabeth asking about our mom, reinforced that feeling.
And that's when everything changed. A dazzling figure appeared in the wood and a voice talked to Luke. A voice we knew. That's the only time I saw my father. Even though he didn't want us to go in, Luke took us and walk in. My mom took care of Thalia while Annie and I were playing with a stuff animal. My brother was with my father in the living room. I was a little girl and didn't quite understand what Luke was telling my father , but I could perceive the anger in his voice. He was blaming him for leaving us with our mother when he knew she couldn't take care of a kid and even less of 2. While they were still talking my mom offered us cookies while talking about my brother. Not once she mentioned me, I knew she had a mental health issue but as 5 years old, I understood that Thalia, Annabeth and Luke where the only person I could trust and would worry about me. During her speech, my eyes couldn't stop looking at my father talking to Luke, asking myself what have we done to be left like this, why he never cared about our well-being.
All this question that I asked Luke growing up and who never got an answer. As time passed, a big argument started between Luke and my father. My mom realized it was my brother and Luke decided it was time to leave as we didn't need them anymore. Luke stormed out of the house and the girls and I run after him. All I can say it's that neither Annabeth and I understood what happened that day , but I could see the effect it had on my brother. All the hatred he had for my father; I think somehow changed him. Something I couldn't quite understand at this age but who made me swore to always stick with Luke. A promise that I never thought I would break but when you're a demigod, things rarely goes according to your plans.
