I had been in NXT for a few months now and had quickly become best friends with the members of Chase U. André was like an older brother to me, and Thea was like the little sister I always wanted. Duke on the other hand had caught my attention from the moment I had met him. From the moment I heard his Australian accent, I had a crush on him.
I had tried to hide my crush, but Thea knew me better than anyone
"When are you going to tell him how you feel?" She asks as we're getting ready for our tag team match.
"never, I don't want to ruin my friendship with him,"
Little did I know that she and Andre had been hatching a plan. After our tag match, we were supposed to meet on set to film a segment for Chase U. I walked into the room but only Duke was inside. The door shut behind me and had been locked from the outside.
"What the hell, open the door, Thea"
"Not until you two talk," Andre says
I sat at my desk in silence. I wasn't going to tell him how I felt. There's no way he felt the same.
"I don't hear talking," Thea says
Duke laughs, "I should have known they'd do something like this,"
"what do you mean?"
"well y/n I like you a lot, but I didn't want to tell you and mess up our friendship," he says
"I like you too Duke,"
He smiles, "Andre has been trying to get me to tell you for weeks,"
"Thea has too,"
He gently placed his lips to mine. The door opens, Thea and Andre walk inside,"
"Finally," Andre says
"Can I take you in a date this week, y/n?" Duke asks
I nod, "I'd like that,"
Thea starts jumping up and down excitedly, "See I told you he liked you too,"
"I didn't think he actually would like me, and I didn't want to ruin our friendship,"
"Nothing will ever come between our friendship y/n I promise," Duke says, gently kissing me again.
