Karting and last days

Todays the day I've been most excited for on this whole trip, karting. Lando and I were on our way to pick up Max, Ella, Irem and Ben.
"I can tell you are excited, you haven't stopped shaking your leg since we've got in the car." He stated. I grinned, "I know I just can't wait, it's been so long since I last went karting." I stated. He chuckled, "well...just so you know I'm going to beat your ass." He smirked.

I scoffed, "is that so? You don't know how wrong you are Norris." I giggled. We pulled up outside the apartment and waited for the guys to come down. "So are we going to tell that we are officially together?" He asked. I nodded, "I think so, there our friends...we can tell them just not the rest of the world yet." I stated. He nodded and placed his hand on my thigh.

"Hey guys." Ella said as she and the others hopped into the car, "hey." Lando and I said in sync, "are we ready for karting?" Irem asked. I nodded, "I can't wait." I cheered, which made them all laugh. "So anything new happen with you guys." Max teased, I glanced at Lando who had a smile on his face, "yes actually, Remi and I are official." Lando announced. I glanced at the four of them who had massive smiles on their faces, "congrats you two.....I can't believe it. Who would have thought you and I would end up in a relationship on a girls holiday." Ella squealed. I nodded, "I know....it's crazy." I said.

Lando parked the car in the car park and the six of us headed towards the track. One of the employees gave us a quick induction before we could race. Lando and I kept exchanging glances, and I could tell he was just as competitive as I am.

"Your suits and helmets are all in the changing rooms ready for you, and ill meet you guys out on track" the employee explained, before leaving us to get ready. The girls and I walked into our changing rooms, "dibs on the pink one." I yelled. The girls rolled their eyes at me, "you are so childish." Ella laughed, I shrugged and quickly got changed. "So do you think you are going to destroy Lando?" Irem asked. I shrugged, "not sure he is an f1 driver, so he's practically already won." I stated. "Yeah but you've been doing karting since you were four, and you have never been beaten." Ella pointed out. I nodded, they were right, I was the British champion for women's karting each year up until I was 15, since then I haven't touched a kart, so I'm not sure how todays going to go.

The three of us were finally ready and headed out to the track where the boys were stood waiting and surprise surprise Lando chose the orange suit and helmet. "So there's 15 laps overall, if you spin out, try and get back into the race if not one of us will come and help you." The employee explained, we nodded in understanding and headed towards our cars.

As soon as I sat down I felt right at home and I couldn't wait, I strapped myself in and glanced at Lando, I could see the smirk plastered on his face already, I flipped him off which made him chuckle. "Right you guys can go when the lights turn green." The employee yelled, we nodded.

My eyes were focused on the lights, I gripped the steering wheel tight, I was ready to make them all eat my dust.

The lights turned green and off we went, I pressed my foot to the floor and overtook the girls and Ben, I was now right behind Max and Lando was a few seconds in front. I pushed the pedal further to the floor trying to overtake Max on the straight, but he wouldn't let me past, I groaned in frustration. Fuck sakes Max move!! As we reached the corner, Max went wide which gave me the opportunity to overtake on the inside.

As soon as I overtook Max, I could sense the pure shock from him, which is understandable seeing as he used to do formula 3. I picked up the pace abit, we were on lap 10. 5 laps to go and I was hot on Lando's tail, every time I tried to overtake him he would cut in front of me, I yelled in frustration. We reached the corner i overtook Max, and this time Lando went wide, I tried slipping in front of him from the inside but he cut in front of me again, clipping the front of my tire sending my car spinning.

I was fuming, I gripped the steering wheel with anger, I shoved my gear into reverse, and floored it, passing Lando instantly who thought he could relax because I was out...but boy was her wrong, I watched as he glanced my way, I flipped him off before spinning to the front shoving it back into drive and flooring it. Lando tried his hardest to keep up, but it was no use, everytime he tried to overtake I cut him off, which I knew would annoy him big time. I could see the checkered flag ahead and put my foot to the floor. As soon as passed the checkered flag I cheered, this girl still got it. I sound the car around, the brakes screeching for dear life. And drive back towards the others.

I got out of the car with a huge smile on my face, "and that's how it's done people." I cheered as I pulled the helmet off my head. "What the hell was that?" Lando asked. I smirked, "what was what?" I asked. "That race....you racing in reverse.....beating me?" He stated. I smiled, "oh that....well I am the British champion in women karting." I stated. His eyes widened, "well you could've told me that sooner." He said, I chuckled, "well you didn't ask." I stated.

He nodded, "well....I'm going to accept my defeat because you were awesome." He smiled embracing me in a tight hug. I honestly thought he was going to get really annoyed at me, but I'm happy that he can just play it off.

"So who's ready for Pizza?" Ben asked, we all cheered and quickly headed back to the changing rooms before heading back to the car. The journey was quick to the pizza restaurant, which was great because I was starving.

Lando and I decided to share a pizza, "what can I get for you?" The waiter asked, I decided to wind up Lando a bit more today, and I knew something that would get right under his skin, "yes can I get the seafood special pizza as a 16 inch please ." I smirked, I glanced at Lando who's eyes pierced through mine. "What??? I thought we were sharing?" He questioned, I nodded, "we are....I'm craving seafood." I smiled teasingly. His eyes widened as he glanced at Max who held his hand over his mouth trying not to laugh, "but....baby I don't like seafood." He pouted. I stared at him, I decided to play out the joke a little bit longer, "oh well, you can just pick it off." I smiled, I think that sent Max over the edge because his laugh was heard over the entire restaurant, which broke me, "I'm kidding baby, can I have the meat feast please." I smiled, and winked at Lando who was pouting in his chair.

"Mate, she got you good. You should've seen your face." Max laughed, Lando glared at him, "heh." He muttered throwing an ice cube at Max, "awww baby, are you sulking?" I pouted. He shook his head, "no." He mumbled. I grabbed his hand from across the table, "hey....no more pouting, we are here to enjoy ourselves okay." I said, he nodded and replaced his frown with a smile.

The rest of the evening was great, we all had the best time laughing, chatting, eating and drinking. It made us forget that we were all going our separate ways tomorrow, that is until we got into the car to head home. As Lando drove us back to our apartment, I could feel the tears form in my eyes, I kept my eyes focused on the window away from Lando's sight so he couldn't see me cry. As Lando parked his car outside our apartment, Ben and Irem said their goodbyes before he headed home. The five of us headed upstairs not exchanging a word to eachother, "I'm just gonna head to the bathroom." I mumbled, before heading towards the bathroom not waiting for a reply.

I shut the door behind me, and pressed my back against the cold wood. I couldn't fight the tears any longer, my legs collapsed from beneath me as I hugged my legs tight against my chest and cried. I can't believe I'm leaving tomorrow, and I might not see him again....or for months.

There was a small knock on the door, "baby....are you okay?" His voice called from the other side of the door. I sniffled, "yeah I'll be out in a sec." I said. There was a pause, "are you crying?" He asked. "No." I sniffled. I heard the door handle rattle, "baby open the door." He pleaded. I wiped my face quickly and stood up from the floor before opening the door.

His eyes softened as he seen my teary eyes and ready face, "come here." He said wrapping his arms right around me, "it's going to be okay, we will see eachother soon I promise." He stated. I nodded and sniffled, "I know I'm just scared, I don't want you to forget about me." I cried. He pulled away from the hug, and held my face in his hands so I was looking directly at him, "look at me, I will never ever forget you, you are my girlfriend and I will be messaging, calling, FaceTimeing, emailing....everything everyday, okay." He stated. I nodded, "okay." I replied.

He smiled and embraced me into another hug, "right let's get your face cleaned up and I'll help you pack." He said grabbing some tissues and wiping my eyes for me. "There you go." He smiled which I returned. I was going to miss this, but I trust him.....and I hope he's right when he says we can make this work.
