I arrived at the paddock with Lando, I was so nervous and felt really bad that I have to lie to him but I need to keep him safe, I can't lose the love of my life to my hateful ex.
"You okay baby? You seem distracted?" Lando asked as we reached the McLaren garage. I shook my head, "no I'm good just hungry." I smiled. "Let's go grab some food then." He suggested.
We headed up to hospitality, "can I have avocado on toast with some bacon and two fried eggs please, apple juice and a latte." I smiled, Lando furrowed his eyebrows, "why are you eating so little you usually have a mountain of food?" He questioned, I gulped, "yeah I'm not that hungry, but I need to eat." I lied. He nodded, I'm glad he believed me I don't know what other lie I could come up with.
We sat down and ate some breakfast with Oscar, "have you guys heard that they've retired Perez for the remainder of the season?" Oscar stated, my eyes widened, "seriously why?" Lando asked. Oscar shrugged, "I don't know, neither does Perez but apparently someone new is taking over and it's not one of the reserved drivers." Oscar pointed out. My heart was racing like crazy, can they please stop talking about it.
"Well another good driver down, maybe you'll manage to keep up." Lando chuckled nudging Oscar gently. "Haha, very funny" Oscar Mocked.
"Right boys finish up your breakfast and go get some training done, Remi Stefano is here to see you." Zak said, I nodded, "what does he want?" Lando asked. I shrugged, "I don't know, probably wants my bank details from the performance the other week." I said. Lando nodded, "right have fun, I love you and good luck I know you'll do amazing." I smiled and kissed the top of his head before heading out of hospitality and down to the paddock.
"Hello dear, are you okay feeling nervous?" Stefano asked, I nodded, "yes, I haven't driven an f1 car before, I know how it works but it's different to what I'm use to." I mumbled, Stefano nodded, "you are going to do great, just remember to keep focused and watch out for Lando okay. Your dad is here, he's watching the race with me, he wanted me to wish you good luck and that he knows you'll do him proud." Stefano explained and embraced me into a hug. "Thank you Stefano." I smiled, we both reached the red bull garage, "hello Remi." Christian smiled.
"Hi Christian, I'm so sorry about Perez I honestly didn't know anything about this until last week." I explained. He held his hand up, "don't worry about it, from what I've heard you are brilliant so there's no bother there. I know nobody is suppose to know about you, so I'm going to need to put this over your head, and I'll take you towards your drivers room where you'll do some training and get a massage before the race just so you are ready." Christian explained.
I nodded, "goodbye Stefano, and thank you." I waved, Christian chucked a blanket over my head and guided me through the red bull garage towards my room. "Here we are, this is your trainer Alex, he's going to help you get ready. I'll see you soon." He said and closed the door behind him.
"Are you feeling okay Remi?" Alex asked, I nodded, "this is just a lot to take in." I sighed. He nodded, "yeah I bet, anyways let's do some reaction training." He said. I did reaction training, neck work out, physio and a deep muscle massage to finish it off. "Christian left you your fireproofs, suit, knee pads, balaclava, gloves and helmet here. We know you like the colour pink so he had it specially made for you." Alex smiled. I glanced at the helmet and it was gorgeous.
