So Clancy is Keons and Keons is Clancy. What about the narrative that we are Clancy? I believe to be true that because we helped create this narrative so that we could all feel some control, we who got so deeply involved, could be considered dema citizens.

And if so, I'd like to think that those of us who follow Clancy's story, are in Keons' region. And on one hand, I really would find it an honor to be seized by a bishop that is unwavering, forthright and righteous. But seizing aside, if we are in some way, shape or form, incarnates of Clancy, then that would mean that by extension, we are Keons.

We are the highest respected, revered, forthright, unwavering leaders and those who follow us are proud to do so.  Josh Dun's presence as the torchbearer was Josh always being there by Clancy, but through Keons. When Clancy saw that Josh was an illusion up till the end where Josh handed him a mask, that's because the red mask represents the real identity of Clancy.

Keons is the rebel red masked version of Clancy. And that's precisely why Keons was able to find Clancy when Clancy had run away. As soon as Clancy had given up on running away, all he had to do was put on the red mask and he was back at dema.

But as Tyler said in an interview, he was at the time, in denial of being a leader. It's only when he finds that new swagger, after killing the idea that this familiar power is given to an outside entity, that he is able to use that rebel red as it was intended to be used.

Tyler said that there is expression in everything, including colors. Red was the theme of the blurryface album. And while red was not a theme on trench, rebel red was mentioned twice in chlorine. Red is simply meant to represent rebellion.

But why is blurryface characterized in red? Especially if his ability is supposedly to seize Clancy, which is supposed to turn eyes yellow? Well the answer is simple. Nico is not significant enough to be real.

Nico was this big scary idea that there was something greater than oneself when it had already been simply compartmentalized into smaller and less significant characters. Only to reveal that the strongest part of it was the creativity itself as well as the ability to take something old and making it better.

People say that it was blurryface that overtook Clancy when Clancy did the deep voice, but if the only thing that happened in those songs was repetition, then it wasn't blurryface. It was Keons.

And Keons manifests himself by recreating goner at the end of the blurryface album.

And without the symbolism of Keons and his repetition, we don't get trench. Because trench is just Keons adaptation of the blurryface album, Nico is just Clancy being in denial.
