Chapter 8: RI- Here we go

"Hey girl, I can help you get into WWE on your terms. I am in contact with a wrestling school and they would like to have you. It's in Rhode Island though so you would have to leave your friends and family since I know you want a new start and don't want to be known as the girlfriend of Damian Priest. As you know fans think that was the only reason why you made it to NXT but you have true potential that's why I want you to come with me and join please" 

Kelsie's POV:

I read the text from an unknown and then I went downstairs. I noticed that Kaylie was still up and sitting at the kitchen table. "Can't sleep after your adventure with Priest?" she asked. I took a deep breath. I knew that I couldn't hide my relationship with Damian from her forever, but I didn't know how to tell her since my brother and sister weren't keen on it.  "No, I don't think I'll be able to sleep for a while," I said. "I'm too keyed up." Kaylie didn't say anything momentarily, but then she reached over and took my hand. "You can tell me anything, you know," she said. "I'm always here for you." I took another deep breath and told her everything even the strange text that I got. When I was finished, Kaylie sat in silence for a moment and then smiled. "I'm so happy for you," she said. "I know Damian loves you very much." I smiled back and said, "I love him too, more than anything." "Wait, what does the text say by the way? I'm sorry, I got so happy that you are happy with Damian." I sighed and showed her the text. She looked at my phone, read the message, and then looked up at me. "Who is this?" she asked, handing me back my phone. I replied, "I don't know." She was about to say something, but my phone started to ring. It was that unknown number again, but it was calling me this time. "Answer it," she said. I put the call on speakerphone. "Hello?" I said. The person began to speak: "Hey Kelsie, did you miss me? I saw the comments about you and, well, I asked the people close to you, and it turns out they were right. He did help you get into WWE. I remember when we grew up, you always wanted to do it yourself and get in on your own terms. What changed, boo?" I looked at Kaylie, confused. The voice sounded so familiar, but I just couldn't put my mind to it. 

"I emailed you a plane ticket to Rhode Island. I will meet you there. Jey will bring Skyla so they will be with us." Wait, she was with Becky before? What is going on? Did Becky give her to Jey for this? Then it hit me. The voice sounded so familiar because it was my friend from high school, Lani. Lani is Jimmy and Jey's half sister, they just have different mothers. I replied, "Wait, Lani? Is it you?" She replied, "Of course it is. So you will come to Rhode Island with me to train?". I look at Kaylie and she nods and presses mute on the phone. She says, "I think you should do it girly. I know you've always wanted to do it on your own terms..". I muted the phone call and looked up at Kaylie saying, "But what about Damian and my brother and sister?". We got interrupted by Lani asking if I am still there on the phone. "They will understand it I hope." Kaylie says as I go back to the phone and unmuted it, "Okay I will do it so when do I have to go?" I say. "The flight is scheduled at 5 am which I think you should start packing now since it's 2 am" she says. We hanged up and I went up to my room, packed quietly as Damian is still sleeping in my bed. I finished the last thing to pack and I stopped in my tracks, I was looking at Damian sleeping quietly. Tears were rolling up in my eyes, man I don't want to leave him but I do want to do this for me. I hope Kaylie was right that he will understand this. I kissed him and said "bye mi amor", then headed out to the airport since it was 4 am. I ended up getting a call from Rhea while waiting to get on the plane and I answered it.

"Hello?" I said as I answered it.

"Kelsie, I wasn't expecting that you were awake. I hope I didn't wake you" she says acting shocked.
