Chapter 10: First-ever match at SPW

*May 1, 2024-Wednesday*

Kelsie's POV:

I woke up at 6 a.m. to the smell of bacon and eggs cooking. I looked over to see that Damian was not in bed with me, and Skyla was not there either. I got up and went downstairs to see him, Skyla, Matt, Rhea, and Lani in the kitchen. "Hey look who's up," Rhea said as she hugged me, and so did everyone else. "Morning, mami," Damian whispered, handing me a plateful of food. I sat down at the table and asked, "What's going on?" "It's your first indie match. We just wanted to make you breakfast to celebrate that," Damian said. "YEAH, and we're having a family breakfast," Matt said as he and the rest sat down at the table. I smiled and replied, "It's great to see you all." "It sure is, I've missed you K," Lani said. I nodded and smiled at her while Skyla spoke up, "You're gonna do great Mommy," hugging me. "Thank you, sweetheart," I said, hugging her back and helping her eat her breakfast and then eating my breakfast after. We all finished breakfast and I helped Lani clean up the kitchen. Then we went out with Matt, Rhea, Skyla, and Damian since we had time to spare before the show. It started at 6:30 pm, but we as talent needed to be there at 2 pm. We went shopping some more and then went to the gym to work out. Once we got done, we went back to her place and showered. We saw that it was 1 pm. We all got dressed, Lani and I packed our gear and boots, and headed to the academy. Rhea, Matt, and Damian went to help with setting up the ring since they didn't mind helping out. Meanwhile, Skyla was with us backstage meeting everyone there. Once everything was set up, Lani and I went out to the ring to rehearse our moves with Larkin and Latasha to prepare for the match tonight. We then went to catering since they had a mini station for food to be there. Rhea, Matt, and Damian joined us. I got a text from Kaylie saying that she misses me and that she hopes I do amazing. I texted her back saying thank you and wishing she was here.

TIME FOR THE SHOW (Names are made up n some are past WWE superstars)

Damian's POV:

The match card for tonight's show includes Anthony Green vs. Dominic Velli, Roderick Strong vs. Velveteen Dream, Serafina Fatu & Arielle Martinez vs. Larkin & Latasha, Sting & Danny vs. Matt Cardona & Cass, and Mercedes Montanez vs. Rosalie. The fans are taking their seats, and we're making our way to our front-row seats. Kaylie is here with Dom, JD, Charlie (my bestfriend over 25 plus years) and Lani's brothers (Jey and Jimmy). That's a bit odd because Kaylie didn't tell Kelsie she was coming, but hey, the more the merrier. Lani and Kelsie are getting ready for their match, even though it's the third of five matches tonight. I look around the arena and take in the scene. The fans are cheering and chanting for their favorite wrestlers. The ring announcer introduced the first match, and the wrestlers came out to the ring. The bell rang, and the match began. The wrestlers fought back and forth, with each wrestler taking turns having the upper hand. Eventually, Anthony Green won the match. The next match featured two of my best friends from NXT when I first started there. The bell rang, and they started their match. The wrestlers fought back and forth, with each wrestler taking turns having the upper hand. Eventually, Velveteen Dream won the match, now it's going to be my babygirl's match with her highschool best friend as a tag team. Serafina Fatu first comes out and waits at the ramp for Arielle to come out right after. They walk down to the ring, they both go to us hugs everyone that is here to support them (Skyla, Kaylie, Rhea, JD, Dom, Jimmy, Jey, Charlie and I) then they went into the ring wait for their opponents, Larkin & Latasha.
