Chapter 19: Housewarming Party

Kelsie's POV

 Rhea and I walked into my new home after coming back from the Performance Center, the excitement palpable in the air. The house was still a bit bare, but I could already envision the warmth and laughter that would soon fill it. We dropped our gym bags in the living room and headed to the kitchen to brainstorm ideas for the housewarming party since Rhea gave me the idea. "Okay, so we need a theme," Rhea said, pulling out a notebook. "Something fun but not too over the top". I nodded, my mind was racing with possibilities. "How about a tropical theme? We could have tiki torches, fruity drinks, and maybe even a little sandpit in the backyard," I said. Rhea grinned and said, "I love it! And we can have everyone dress in Hawaiian shirts and leis". As we continued to plan, Rhea suddenly remembered something. She reached into her bag and pulled out a small piece of paper. "Oh, by the way, I got Kayden's number when we were at the performance center. I thought you might want to talk things out with her. She misses you, you know".

I reluctantly took the paper, my heart skipping a beat. I hadn't spoken to Kayden in a while due to our falling out since she was called in the main roster and I was out of the company also not to mention our last conversation had been less than pleasant since I bumped into her earlier. I still can't believe it was her that slept with my boyfriend though. I just sighed heavily and said, "Thanks, Rhea. I'll think about it". Just then, my phone buzzed. It was a text from Damian. "Why didn't you tell me you live in Florida now?" the message read and then there was another message, "I don't want to lose you again, and we need to be honest with each other".  I sighed, feeling a mix of guilt and frustration. I quickly typed back, "Damian, I didn't mean to keep it from you. We just started talking again and I just didn't know if I should've told you yet". His response was immediate. His response was immediate. "I get it, Kelsie. I really do. But I want us to be open with each other. I don't want to lose you again". I felt a pang of sadness. I knew Damian cared deeply for me, but I originally moved here away from Orlando totally to focus on myself for a while, I didn't expect for Damian and I to rekindle but I guess it's true on what Jey always tells me that Damian and I are meant for each other even though our relationship is kind of rocky. I just wrote back, "I'm sorry, Damian. Let's talk about this later, okay?" and he just wrote "Ok call me later.. mi vida te amo". Rhea noticed the change in my demeanor because she asked "Everything okay?". I forced a smile and sighed. "Yeah, just some drama with Damian. He found out I moved to Florida." I said. 

Rhea nodded sympathetically and said, "I know he didn't know and you both just got back together.. I'm sure he'll come around and listen to what you have to explain to him about it. Just give him some time". As she got out of her seat to hug me, we got a knock on the door. Confused, we weren't expecting company yet... I went to the door and it was Lani, Becky, and Seth with Roux and Skyla. "mommy I missed you" Skyla ran in to hug me. I hugged her back and then hugged Lani then Seth and then Becky. I'm shocked that Lani is here because she was wrestling back in Rhode Island. Yeah I know Skyla had a sleepover back in when we were in Boston but she wanted more time so she spent another day with them. I just didn't know he made it to Florida since he actually lives in Iowa and he was going to come later for the party well "try to" as he texted me because he wasn't sure on Becky's schedule since she is not wrestling for WWE at the moment. Rhea texted Matt about the stuff we needed for the party later on while Seth was helping me cook for the party. Rhea and Becky went out to get wine, beer, etc. Meanwhile, Roux and Skyla was in Skyla's room playing with their dolls. Kaylie was at work, she will be home just in time for the party. My phone buzzed as we just got done setting up the food and drinks for the party, with also Kaylie just got home too. By the way the text was from Matt, it read, "meet up at Dutch Bros with me later so I can help finalize the party plans".
