SEVEN FIRST PANEL
━━━━━━━ ・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧・"KAYLEY. . . KAYLEY?" Tyler waved a hand in front of her face, bringing her back from her daze. She blinked and looked over at him, unaware of what was going on.
"Kayley, are you okay?" Posey asked, slightly concerned. She had been up most of last night, waiting for Caleb to come home. It wasn't until four in the morning that she heard him shut his bedroom door and let herself fall asleep mere seconds later. A part of her wanted to know where he'd been all night but another part of her was too scared to know the answer.
"Yeah, I'm just tired."
"I'm here if you need to talk, okay?" He let out a faint smile and put a hand on her back before getting up to get everything he needed in preparation for the panel. Tyler invited the cast to his house beforehand so they could all go together.
"Uh, am I interrupting something?" Dylan asked awkwardly when walking in, slightly surprised to see Tyler with his hand on Kayley's back. It was only a friendly gesture, but Dylan still felt a subtle but still present sting of jealousy.
"Uhm no, I'm just gonna make sure I've locked the house before we leave." Tyler then walked out and Dylan made his way to sit next to Kayley on the couch. They hadn't talked since the other day's awkward encounter with Britt.
"So, you left this." He said before taking out his co-star's script from his bag and passing it to Kayley.
"Oh. I guess it would be kinda hard to do a scene without learning my lines first." They both faintly laughed at the girl's forgetfulness due to the situation.
"About the other day, I'm sorry we didn't get to run lines. I didn't realize she was coming over, and I know she can be a bit. . . you know, but it's only because−"
Kayley at how cute he was when he couldn't stop himself from talking. "Dylan, chill. It's not a big deal, okay? We can always reschedule." She said reassuring him. But he knew as well as she did that neither of them were discussing the script, they were talking about what almost happened. Kayley was sure it was Dylan's way of telling her that he had a girlfriend and that he just wants to forget about it whilst Dylan was sure that Kayley's response was her telling him that it was just a look that didn't mean anything and he was foolish for thinking otherwise. But what they both failed to read from each other was that maybe they both wished Britt didn't ring the doorbell in that moment.
He let out a sigh of relief and closed his eyes, laughing under his breath. "So, are you all ready for the panel today?" It was obvious to Kayley that he had forgotten already and she told herself she was okay with that.
"Dylan, I'm terrified." This caused him to laugh at her. "What? No, stop! I mean, I've never done a panel before. Knowing me, I'll end up saying something really embarrassing without even realizing what I'm saying."
