KAYLEY BLAKE is a nineteen year old girl that seemingly has everything going for her. From having a number one debut album to now making her way in the world of acting by landing the role of Malia Tate on MTV's Teen Wolf, her life couldn't be better. . . right?
In the midst of trying to further her career, Kayley is also forced to balance her personal life with the life she chooses to show to the rest of the world. Her older brother Zac had already been in the acting industry long before Kayley was in the public eye, so she was never naïve to the way the other half lived. But as she has encountered over the past two years, knowledge doesn't always mean power and you can't always save yourself from the pitfalls of being famous.
For example, she'd realised that it's not so simple to move on from somebody when everybody knows the egotistic beautiful boy that cheated on you as one of the biggest pop-stars of their generation. Jace was not only the first boy to break her heart but he was also somebody she knew since she was seven years old, and being betrayed by your first love and your best friend definitely leaves a scar. Needless to say, after the recent public heartbreak she has sworn to herself that she will stay away from feelings and relationships indefinitely.
Whilst trying to navigate her way, she finds distraction and comfort in those closest to her; her old friends as well as her new ones at the set of Teen Wolf, who she's quickly growing closer to. Regardless, she still manages to keep her problems to herself around all but one person – her new co-star Dylan O'Brien. She can't help but feel drawn to the alluring boy with the warm smile but the close bond that starts to form between the pair could do more harm than good for the both of them.
It seems everybody has their demons, even celebrities. When these demons from her past coming back to haunt her are combined with emerging ones, Kayley finds herself more lost than ever trying to balance the worlds of her personal and public life.
