Matt Casey - Four becomes Five

"Ah Matt, I can't look! I'm so nervous," squealed Y/N as she rounded the bed, the pregnancy test she just took face down in her hand. She sat next to Matt who wrapped an arm around her and kissed the side of her head.
"I'm nervous too baby, 3! 3 whole kids, wow, but it's going to be the best feeling ever," he comforted.

At the twins' 5th birthday, Matt had proposed the idea of more kids to Y/N and to his delight, she was on the same page! They'd decided later that month to start trying again... not actively like they had done with the girls but they wouldn't be using any protection. They also agreed to not take any tests until Y/N had some symptoms.

It had been a couple months since then and the girls were just starting kindergarten when Y/N felt a little off one morning, however she was due on her period and she was experiencing similar symptoms - nausea and fatigue - but only when she missed her period by 2 weeks, did they end up in this situation on a Wednesday morning in October...
They were sat together, super excited to flip over the white and blue stick in Y/N's hand once the timer had finally gone off. After 3 agonisingly slow minutes, the timer finally went off making Y/N jump.
Her and Matt shared a look and counted down from 3 before flipping the test over...

Pregnant
2-3 weeks

Y/N stood up glancing at the test before Matt stood up and embraced her, spinning her around, causing a squeal to escape her.
"Oh my god! I'm so happy," she gushed, tears spilling out her eyes.
Even Matt shed a tear at the excitement of the situation, "I love you so much!" He said before pulling her in for a kiss.
"We're having another baby?!" She whispered-cried.
The two embraced each other once again, tears falling.
"I can't wait to tell the girls! They're gonna be so excited," said Matt.
"I know," sniffled Y/N. "They're no longer babies, they're gonna be big sisters!"
The couple stayed in their little bubble for the rest of the day until they picked their girls up from kindergarten and Y/N had a doctor's appointment booked for 2 days time to get everything confirmed!

Y/N and Matt decided not to tell the girls until she hit 12 weeks just to eliminate any risks and they hoped she'd be showing by then too! Their baby was due in late June and they couldn't be more excited!

It was now December and Y/N was approaching the 12 week mark, she even had a bump that what getting quite hard to hide! Her and Matt had planned to tell everyone else on Christmas Day so they decided to tell the girls after their last day at kindergarten before the holidays!
"Harper, Kinsey, please can you come in the living room? Mommy and I need to talk to you please," asked Matt at the door of his girls' playroom.
The two dirty blondes looked at each other, "Okay daddy," said Kinsey. They simultaneously put down their dolls and followed their daddy into the living room.
Y/N was sat on the couch and the girls climbed next to her for a cuddle where Y/N left kiss on each of their heads. Matt sat down and Harper climbed on to his lap facing him whilst Kinsey did the same on Y/N.
"Daddy and I have something we want to show you," started Y/N. The girls looked up their mum and blinked. Matt then grabbed the sonogram from behind his back and handed each end to each twin, "Do you know what this is?" He asked.
As the girls were staring at the strip of black and white images, Y/N found it even harder not to cry, letting out a small sniffle.
"No daddy," said Kinsey.
"Baby?" Asked Harper. "Is there a baby in mommy?"
Y/N nodded, tears spilling, "Yes baby, there is! Well done!"
The girls both gasped and cheered!
"Yes you're going to have a new baby brother or sister in the summer," added Matt. "Are you excited?"
"Best news ever!" Shouted Kinsey, a huge smile on her and Harper's faces.
"Where is the baby?" Asked Harper.
"The baby is in my tummy, look here!" Said Y/N as she lifted her shirt revealing the small bump that was there, "You see this bump here? That's the baby until it's born in the summer and it's going to grow even bigger!"
"Wow," exclaimed Kinsey as her and her sister touched the bump.
"We're so glad you're excited! You're going to make the best sisters ever," said Matt causing his daughters to smile at each other.
