Chapter 82 - Juline

Hi guys! This chapter consists of Juline giving birth to her child. It is a C-Section, so skip to the end if you do not feel comfortable reading this chapter.

As soon as I say my water just broke, Shadel grabs my wrist and immediately lightleaps us both to Elwin's office. He is sitting there, scrolling through Elf-Tok.

"ELWIN!" Shadel yells as the top of his voice. Elwin jumps and drops his phone. He immediately picks it up and closes all of his tabs. I wonder what he was watching? Eh, it's a thought for another time.

"What's wrong, guys?" Elwin says as he readjusts his glasses.

"My water just broke! You have to help me!" I say urgently as Elwin quickly looks at my stomach. 

"I can see by the shape of your stomach that your baby isn't in the correct position for a normal birth. We will have to perform a C-Section." Elwin says as he grabs a needle and begins filling it up with a potion of some sort.

"Wi-will you have to inject me with that needle?" I ask nervously.

"Unfortunately, yes. It is to stop you from feeling any pain when I surgically remove the baby from your stomach." Elwin says as he continues preparing his tools.

"But Juline's deathly afraid of needles! Is there any other way?" Shadel asks protectively.

"Unless Juline wants to feel me physically cutting into her stomach and pulling out the baby, then no, I'm so sorry," Elwin says sarcastically. I roll my eyes.

"Fine.." I say as I look away, trying to mentally prepare myself for what was going to come.

"Shadel, please take Juline to sit up on the hospital bed. She needs to take her shirt off, but she can keep her bra on. Please help her while I prepare this."

Shadel takes my hand softly as I reluctantly sit on the hospital bed and take my shirt off. Elwin comes over with a very long and sharp needle.

"Um... I don't know if I can do it.." I say as Elwin brings the needle closer to my lower back.

"Juline, it's either this, which is a very short amount of pain, or you feeling the whole operation, which is 15 minutes of pain. Which one would you prefer?" Elwin asks me.

"The needle..." I reply reluctantly.

"Alright, I'm going to do a countdown, okay? After I say 1, I'll put in the needle." Elwin says calmly as Shadel grips my hand tightly.

"Okay..." I agree nervously.

"3...2...1..." Elwin counts slowly as he sticks the needle into my lower back. I immediately flinch in pain as Shadel grips my hand harder. Elwin pulls the needle out and I breathe a sigh of relief.

"That was..." I take a breath.

"See? Not so bad, isn't it? Now, please lie down so I can perform the operation. I slowly lie down on the hospital bed as Elwin quickly blocks my view with a large cloth. Shadel stands between my head and my exposed stomach.

Elwin grabs his scalpel and lowers it to my stomach level. "I am now beginning the incision." Shadel grips my hand tightly as Elwin begins the C-Section. I wait anxiously, hoping to hear the cry of my child, and after 15 minutes of waiting in anticipation, I finally hear my child's cry.

"There we go, baby, there we go!" Elwin says as he quickly takes the baby away. He places it in a bath a few metres away from him that he had set up previously. Elwin quickly sows me up and gives me a potion to help me regain my strength. After a minute, I nod to Shadel as he helps me stand and walk to Elwin, who is now holding my baby.

"Is it a boy or a girl, Elwin?" Shadel asks, intruiged.

"It is a boy!" Elwin says happily as a tear rolls down my cheek.

"A baby boy has been my dream since we had sex that night at the hotel, babe," Shadel says lovingly as I laugh awkwardly.

"Uh, thanks for, um... mentioning that, Shadel." 

"So, you two, what are you going to name your son?" Elwin says, trying to shake off the awkwardness.

"Well? What do you think, sweetie?" Shadel asks me as I have a quick think.

"I am going to name him Asher," I say lovingly as I stare at my beautiful baby. Elwin hands us some baby clothes and we quickly dress the baby.

Elwin takes a quick look at the window outside. "I think some of your family is waiting for you two. Better head out."

I smile. "Thanks again for your help again, Elwin."

"Anytime, anytime." Elwin chuckles as we exit the room.

"BABY!" My mom says as she gives me a hug. 

"Hi, mum. Guess what? You're a grandma to a healthy... BABY!" I say excitedly as she laughs and gives Shadel a big hug.

"Wait, what? Is the baby non-binary or something?" My dad asks as I chuckle. 

"Nah, that's not it, dad. Our baby is a healthy boy!" Everyone immediately cheers when I say this.

"You know what that means... right?" Calla smirks as I roll my eyes, trying to also hide my smirk. I think she still saw it, though.

"Oh, girly, we know it'll happen! Let's just focus on the present for now, okay?" I say happily as I pat her on her back.

"What's his name, Juline?" Keefe asks excitedly. "Is it Keefe JR. ?"

I roll my eyes. "Come on mate, what is it with you and this ' Keefe JR. ' ? Crikey! Anyways, Shadel and I have decided to name our son Asher."

"That's so sweet! Jewel and Asher," Sophie says softly and we all smile lovingly.

"I already know all of this is going to be perfect," I say as we all lightleap back to our homes.

Hi guys! I hope you liked this chapter. For those of you that did not read this chapter and just skipped to the end, Juline gave birth to a baby BOY and his name is Asher!

Since it's a boy, we all know what's going to happen... 🤭🤫 but there's definitely going to be some drama beforehand. You all should be excited for the next coming chapters because I've got a plan for a few things that none of you will be able to predict!
