I Think I Like Him (A Varigo Fanfic)

Part 1

Varian's POV:
We have been on this dirt road for days now, on our way back from the eternal library. It's been so boring. I can't even talk to anyone, Yong has wayyyyy too much energy, Nuru is really pissy right now and Hugo....oh where to start on Hugo. First, he has been an asshole throughout this entire journey, calling me names, making snarky comments and just being intolerable. Second....i have a slight crush on him......ok more than a slight crush but still, I can barely tolerate him so why do I have a crush on him......yeah he's hot- wait what am I thinking. This isn't right, I can't like him. He's insufferable, but so cute.... I get ripped from my thoughts as I hear someone say my name.
"Varian?" Nuru asked me slightly concerned.
"Hmm?" I hum in response.
"You okay? You are pretty silent" Nuru asks.
"Yeah I'm fine, just lost in thought" I reply.
"About?" Nuru questions.
"N-Nothing....." I say, accidentally stuttering. Shit.
"Are you sure? It's not like you to stutter like that when talking to me" Nuru asked.
"I said IM FINE!" I snap at Nuru. As soon as I snap at her, I look at her apologetically.
"Sorry, I'm just tired. We have been on this road for days now" I apologise.
"It's okay, I understand. I'm tired too" Nuru explains.
"Damn goggles, what's up with you today? You're acting like a little bitch" Hugo says with a smug grin.
"Hugo, just shut up and stop swearing in front of Yong. He's only a child" Nuru said with a pissed off tone.
We all go silent, not wanting to get on Nuru's bad side.

This is gonna be one heck of a journey back.....
