AURELIE STIRRED FROM A DREAMLESS SLEEP just as Thalia approached her.

"Everything's okay?" she asked. "Let me guess- bad news."

Thalia gave a short nod. "Sort of. We have visitors."

"Visitors?" Aurelie echoed, puzzled.

The Hunter's expression was solemn. "A Titan is here to see Percy. He's come under a flag of truth to deliever a message from Kronos."

Aurelie stretched her limbs. "I guess Percy already knows?"

"He does," Thalia said. "Annabeth will stay here to keep an eye at Adel. Grover, you and I will accompany Percy- just in case. It might a trap. There on Kronos's side after all."

"I guess we're going now?"

"We are."

They could see the white flag from half a mile away. It was as big as a soccer field, carried by a thirty-foot-tall giant with bright blue skin and icy gray hair.

"A Hyperborean," Aurelie said. "The giants of the north. It's a bad sign that they sided with Kronos. They're usually peaceful."

"You've met them?" Percy asked.

"Mmm. There's big colony in Alberta."

"We've been there, too," Thalia added. "You do not want to get into a snowball fight with those guys."

As the giant got closer, Aurelie could see three human-size companions with him: a half-blood in armor, an empousa with a black dress and flaming hair, and a tall man in a tuxedo. The latter two held their arms, so they looked like a couple on their way to a Broadway show.

The group walked leisurely toward a playground. The swings and ball courts were empty. The only sound was the fountain.

"The tux dude is the Titan?" Percy asked.

Grover nodded nervously. "He looks like a magician. I hate magicians. They usually have rabbits."

"You're scared of bunnies?"

"Blah-hah-hah!" Grover bleated. "They're big bullies. Always stealing celery from defensless satyrs!"

Thalia erupted in a cough as Aurelie stifled a laugh.

"What?" the satyr demanded.

"We'll have to work on your bunny phobia later," Percy said. "Here they come.

The man in the tux stepped forward. He was taller than an average human- about seven feet. His black hair was tied in a ponytail. Dark round glasses covered his eyes, but you could still his scarred face.

"Percy Jackson," he said in a silky voice. "It's a great honor."

His lady friend hissed.

"My dear," Tux Dude said to her. "Why don't you make yourself comfortable over there, eh?"
