The next morning, I was getting ready to head to a nearby grocery, The Fresh Market, to pick up some sausages and pancakes for breakfast, as my parents had asked me to. Just as I was about to leave, I saw Sydney riding in her scooter past my place. I was glad she found it, and she looked astonished too.
"Hey, Sydney! Glad to see you found my place," I greeted her with a smile. She looked a bit surprised but happy.
Sydney dismounted her scooter when I was about to mount my bicycle. "I was just wandering around and accidentally found it," she admitted, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
"What have you been up to?" I asked, curious about her morning.
"Oh, I'm fine," she replied, but I noticed a faint blush still lingering on her cheeks. "My heart's still fluttering a bit from the kiss you gave me last night."
I chuckled, a bit embarrassed but happy she felt the same way. "Sorry about that, it was a sneak peek of my feelings for you."
She smiled warmly. "So, where are you headed?"
"I'm off to the Fresh Market to get some breakfast stuff for my parents," I explained.
Sydney nodded. "I'm on my way to Logan Square to pick up my dog. My mom asked me to get him. He got into trouble for chewing a wire in my room and ended up getting electrocuted. He's been in the hospital for a while now."
I winced at the thought. "Ouch, poor dog. I hope he's okay now."
"Yeah, he's doing better," she said, looking relieved. "But it's been a stressful time."
There was a brief pause before she added, a bit shyly, "Hey, would you mind if I introduce you to my parents later? My mom's curious about you."
I was taken aback but pleasantly surprised. "Sure, I'd be happy to meet them."
She smiled, visibly more relaxed. "Great! Maybe after I get my dog, we can meet up again?"
"That sounds perfect," I replied, feeling a warm sense of anticipation.
Sydney rode away when we go in separate ways while we run an errand from our parents.

Later that day, I received a message from Sydney, asking me to meet her at a nearby Mozart Park before heading to her parents' house. I agreed, eager to spend more time with her and see where things would go.
As I walked to the park, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. Seeing Sydney waiting for me with a bright smile made me feel at ease, sitting on a bench, looking as radiant as ever.
"Hey, Sydney," I greeted her with a smile, taking a seat beside her.
"Hey, Paris," she greeted with a warm smile. "Thanks for coming."
"Of course, Sydney," I replied. "I wouldn't miss it, and I'm really glad that I am spending more time with you."
We started talking while sitting in the bench. "So, how's your dog doing? What's his name?" I asked, genuinely curious.
