16 days before my internship orientation and interview. An early afternoon.

"Hey, hope this made your day over there in Paris," I teased, stepping back so Charlotte and Audra could see my outfit.

I am in a video call with them, who are both in Paris, enjoying their time in Academy Des Beaux-Arts as exchange students, a prestigious Parisian art school. Not the Paris I'm in love with—it's the city of love in France.

At the same time, I am dress-rehearsing with my teal short-sleeve top paired perfectly with the coral-pink skirt that featured a decorative belt and a layered hem, and the gray leather beret sitting atop my head gave the whole look a bit of French flair.

Charlotte gasped dramatically. "Awww, you look cute and sexy! This is totally going to make your Paris sparkle his eyes."

Audra laughed. "You're as chic as Blythe Baxter from Littlest Pet Shop."

I grinned. "And combined with how Emily Cooper loves to look like in many ways. I captivated that idea when I sneaked someone who is watching Emily In Paris, and that kinda influenced me to adapt a little of French chic, and beret just works better than a hairband. Maybe I'll go get a pink beret nearby, that would be cute."

Audra understood, a knowing smile on her face. "I get it, Sydney. You're clearly excited about LA, Marseille Fashion."

"You've captivated my excitement," I replied, feeling a flutter of anticipation in my chest. "I'm also looking forward to meeting Nemona Agreste-Kreyman, the owner. I have a feeling she's going to be my mentor, and I can't wait to learn from her."

Harper and Ashley are at it again

Harper and Ashley are at it again. We are at a local bargain store, and they are having a field day picking out clothes for me, and Harper playfully insisted that I try on a cool red jacket they found. The jacket had white trim and a zipper, giving it a sleek, modern vibe.

"Come on, Paris, try it on," Harper urged, practically shoving the jacket into my hands.

Ashley chimed in with a grin. "Yeah, it gives off a laid-back and cool vibe. Trust us, it'll look great on you."
