Our team is making significant strides in our short film project. The concept ideas of my Color Code and Matilda's Getting Over a Personal Challenge have astonishingly melded together, creating a unique and compelling vision.
"These two shapes so well, Paris," Matilda said, taking another review with the mashed up idea. "I love how the color palette can represent the character's emotions within its journey."
"I know, right?" I replied, feeling a rush of excitement. "So appreciating how they blend up perfectly, and adds such a powerful layer to the story."

We've transitioned from the initial stages of planning to opening auditions and searching for potential cast members.
Our progress in the development stage has been noteworthy, from concept development through securing funding. We are now focused on hiring cast members, scriptwriting which Matilda and Preston are responsible, and storyboarding which is my responsibility, which in turn I would be assigned as an editor.
"How's the opening narration script coming along?" I asked, glancing at him as he furiously typed away on his laptop.
"It's getting there, relax bro. Doing my best to make it closely professional." Preston said in an optimistic tone, closely imitating a Texan accent. "Thanks to Mattie's notes, it's been super helpful, full of tips and guides."

We've also mastered basic cinematography techniques, such as shot composition, camera angles, camera movement, and lighting. While I have been assigned dual roles as both an editor and a cameraman, juggling these responsibilities has been challenging. However, it's been a rewarding experience to see the project take shape. Our rehearsals are going smoothly, for the most part, and the team's enthusiasm and dedication continue to drive us forward.

"Vito, can you focus, please? Put your phone away and focus!" Warren said, in a serious tone, frustration creeping into his voice as he caught him on his phone, playing games again. "We need you to set up the lights correctly."
Vito looked up, guilt flashing across his face. "Sorry, Warren. I'll get right on it."
However, not everything was smooth sailing. One of our team members, Vito, proved to be a considerable challenge. Despite we gave him the easiest responsibility which is the lighting, he keeps screwing up.
Matilda sighed, watching Vito fumble with the lighting equipment. "We need to keep an eye on him, Paris. He's slowing us down." She talks at me.
"Yeah, we guess so." I said, frustrated but determined. "But we can't let him ruin our project. We'll keep motivating him and managing his distractions."
But on the bright side, his sluggishness, annoying habit of being glued to his smartphone playing games, empty-headed behavior and clumsiness are under control by me and my other active mates, so that he could motivate.
We repeatedly had to scold him before we could do that. We're also doing are best for not letting him cause setbacks to our project and jeopardize my chance of passing this course.

On the other hand, Sydney and her partner, Liana, have been making strides in their fashion competition project. They've melded Sydney's unique fashion ideas with Liana's elegant twist, incorporating some of the latest and most significant fashion trends.
Sydney showed me a sketch of their latest design. "What do you think, Paris?"
I smiled, genuinely impressed. "Oh, that's cool. It's better if you consider adding a couple more tweaks in there."
Despite our hectic schedules and the stress of our respective courseworks and projects, Sydney and I have found a routine that keeps us connected and makes us grow even a little closer. We call it daily pickups, where I would pick her up after her last class if I finished earlier, and she would do the same for me. This enables us to spend more time together, even an extra few minutes, and doing this gives us respite and solace amidst the battles we are navigating.

One afternoon, after picking her up from class, we talk about our short film project. "We've blended the ideas of Color Code and Getting Over a Personal Challenge. The color palette can be used to visually represent the character's emotions within his journey as they face and overcome their personal challenge."
Sydney's eyes lit up. "I love that idea, Paris. It already resonates with me."
"Thanks," I said, feeling a warm rush of pride.
"Can't wait to see your film soon in the movie fest." She said, eagerly to watch it.

Besides my friend group and Hannah, Sydney had also heard of Hannah's BFF, Ashley. Regarding the personalized sketchbook I gave her for her birthday, I told her the truth that the idea for the custom design was mine. I had sought help from Hannah and Ashley to arrange all the stickers on the cover of the sketchbook.
