The next morning, Claire walked into her boss's office with a mix of nerves and determination. She had spent the previous evening discussing strategies with Alex and Morgan, and she was hopeful that their plan would help ease the situation at work.

"Good morning, Claire," her boss greeted her, motioning for her to sit down. "Let's hear what you and your team have come up with."

Claire took a deep breath and began outlining the strategies they had discussed. "We've come up with a few ideas to manage the public attention and protect my privacy. First, we'll implement a stricter visitor policy to ensure that only patients and their immediate family members are allowed in the ER. Second, we'll work on a public statement to address the situation and discourage people from coming to the hospital just to see me. Lastly, we'll increase security measures to handle any disruptions more effectively."

Her boss listened intently, nodding as she spoke. "These sound like reasonable steps. Let's give it a try and see if the situation improves. We'll monitor the results closely and make adjustments as needed."

Claire felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Thank you, sir. I appreciate your understanding and support."

As soon as she left the office, Claire called Alex to share the good news. "Alex, my boss agreed to try our strategies! I'm so relieved."

"That's fantastic, Claire!" Alex replied, his voice filled with excitement. "Let's meet with Morgan to finalize everything and get started."

That evening, Claire and Alex met with Morgan to go over the details and ensure everything was in place. They crafted a public statement, emphasizing the importance of respecting the hospital's environment and the privacy of its staff. Morgan also coordinated with the hospital's security team to implement the new measures.

Over the next few days, Claire and Alex watched anxiously as the strategies were put into action. To their relief, the situation began to improve. The stricter visitor policy and increased security helped reduce the number of people coming to the ER just to see Claire. The public statement also seemed to have an impact, as the online chatter about her began to die down.

One evening, after a particularly smooth day at work, Claire returned home to find Alex in the kitchen, preparing dinner. The aroma of fresh herbs and simmering sauce filled the air, and Claire's mouth watered at the sight.

"What's all this?" she asked, smiling as she approached him.

"I thought we should celebrate," Alex replied, grinning. "I'm making your favourite dinner—pasta, just like in Italy."

Claire's heart swelled with affection. "You didn't have to do all this, Alex. But I'm so glad you did."

They spent the evening cooking together, with Alex guiding Claire through the steps of making the perfect pasta. They laughed and chatted, enjoying each other's company and the delicious meal they were creating.

As they sat down to eat, Claire couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude. "This is amazing, Alex. Thank you for always being there for me."

Alex reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "We're a team, Claire. We'll always support each other, no matter what."

They enjoyed their meal, savouring the rich flavours and the warmth of their home. After dinner, they cuddled on the couch, reminiscing about the past few weeks and looking forward to the future.

"I'm so glad things are getting better," Claire said, resting her head on Alex's shoulder. "I couldn't have done it without you and Morgan."

Alex kissed the top of her head. "We're in this together, Claire. And we'll keep moving forward, one step at a time."
