Chapter 2

Victoria's Pov 

Suddenly , the door opened to reveal a man with jet black hair and emerald green eyes in a grey suit .

" I didn't expect to see a beauty today " I roll my eyes at his words .

" Luckily , I only have my eyes on women " . 

I swear I saw a look of dissapointment on his face . But , he quickly replace it with a smile .

" So , you are the so called owner of the building ? " I asked .

" I am the owner of this building. Have any problem with that ? "

" Yes , I can't believe that the owner of the building just flirted with me . Can you at least be a professional ? "

" I am a professional but I don't usually see a beautiful lady every day . So , please forgive me for my actions earlier . What is your purpose here , Ms ? "

" I want to buy this building " he instantly laugh at me .

" This building has been my mother's before she passed away and she doesn't want this building to be sold to anyone that isn't her own blood "

" I am sorry that your mother passrd away . But , I don't think she did a great job on raising you , Mr .. "

" Oakwood . Asher Oakwood and you are ? " 

" Victoria Valor "

" Well , Ms. Valor , there is the door right there . You can leave now cause your won't have my building anytime soon " I make my way to the door .

Before I grab the door knob , I turn my head to look at Asher .

" I am not buying your building only because I respect your deceased mother's words "

Then , I left the room to go back to my car .

" Are you ready to leave , Ms. Valor ? "

" Yes "

Back home

I soaked myself in the bathtub full of foam . Thoughts about what happened today ran through my head like a train .  He is so annoying . I hate him so much .

Asher's Pov 

Ladies usually love it when I flirt with them . That's why it came as a shock to me when Ms. Valor despised my way of flirting . Interesting . It's like she is challenging me to do more .

How can I say no to a challenge like her . I need to figure out a way to make her fall for me .

Back to Victoria's Pov 

After I am done with my bath , I open my text message and see a message from the mayor .

" We will have a meeting tomorrow evening " she said .

Why is it so sudden ? I plop to my bed and drift off to sleep .

Tomorrow 

I wake up and eat breakfast . I call my assistant . When she pick up the call , I tell her to search for Asher Oakwood's background and business . I need to know if he is someone who I can work with for business .  A few minutes later , my assistant send me a file about him .

Time skip to evening 

I get ready for the meeting . Then , I go to the mayor's office .

" This is Sofia Rosequartz , the new representative of the witches " she introduced her to me and the other representatives .

She is a tan skin woman with long black hair and green eyes . I gotta say she's quite beautiful .

After the meeting is done , I call my driver to pick me up . 

" Hi , I'm Victoria Valor "  I greet her .

I usually don't make friendship with people except if it's for business . Don't take me wrong, I have real friends who are not for business purpose . But , I never say hi first except if it's someone who I want to have cooperation . And no , I'm not using her for business purpose . I didn't know where I suddenly have the initiative to greet her .

" Nice to meet you , Ms. Valor " she responded to me .

" No need to call me Ms. Valor . Just call me Victoria " 

Okay since when did I become so friendly towards new people .

" I'm sorry but I need to go now . Bye , Victoria " she waved her hand to me .

I waved back to her . My driver finally arrive and I get in the car . Suddenly, my phone starts ringing . I pick up the call .

" Who is this ? "
