Asher's Pov
" Sorry for what ? " I asked .
" I was the one who reported about your existence to the elders " she said while sobbing.
" Why did you tell them ? "
" I couldn't accept that we're over so I told them "
" I can't believe you " I walk away from her and go to the garden.
" Wait up, Ash " Tori catch up with me.
" You don't need to follow me, Tori. Just leave me alone "
" Everyone needs someone by their side when they're not okay. I promise I'll be quite "
" Fine. I feel so betrayed that she did that and she doesn't even need to face the consequence of her own action " she hug me while I am crying.
" Don't tell me anyone about this. I am not one who's generous with giving hugs "
" And I am not even angry at her because I still have feelings for her "
" Take this as a sign to end your feelings for her, Ash "
" I'll start to move on. Thank you for the hug, Tori " I parted away from her hug.
" Don't mention it. Besides, I will help you with dealing the consequence "
" I appreciate the help "
Meanwhile
" What's taking them so long ? " Astoria wondered.
" There they are " Rick pointed to Victoria and Asher walking together.
" Thank you for your help. But, we can continue without you now " Victoria said to Cynthia.
" I am always happy to help " Cynthia responded.
" And you may return back to work " Victoria give a sharp glare to Dalia.
" How am I supposed to go back ? "
" My driver will take you there "
Once Cynthia and Dalia are gone, everything is silent.
" We should split up " Victoria break the silence.
" What do you mean split up ? " Rick asked in confusion.
" I will go to the mayor's office with Astoria while Asher and Rick warn the other wizards "
" Sounds like a plan to me "
Rick and Asher go out of Victoria's house while Victoria and Astoria have a chat.
" Have you ever missed being a countess ? " Astoria asked.
" Sometimes. Do you like being a teacher ? "
" It has it's pros and cons. But, mostly cons "
" Remember that we used to switch letters to each other on our friendship anniversary ? "
" I still remember that. Oh, remember when it was raining and my letter was soaked with water "
" Your writing wasn't readable anymore because you didn't put it in an envelope " we laugh at the memories we shared.
" The car has just arrived. We should go "
" I'm right behind you "
We decide to pick a seat next to each other in the car.
" Where to, Ms. Valor ? " the driver asked.
" The mayor's office " Victoria said.
" Do you ever missed your parents ? " Astoria asked.
" Sometimes but mostly my mother "
" Does it have to do with the fact that your father cheated on your mother ? "
" I used to look up to him to be the next countess. But, when I figured out that he cheated on my mother, I stop looking up to him "
" But, he's still your father "
"I know. I wonder how are the guys doing ? "
Meanwhile
Asher's Pov
It is so hard to gather attention of the other wizards. I try my best with Rick to make them look to us but no use. Finally, I get an idea. I use my magic to make fireworks light up. That immediately caught up the other wizard's attention on us.
" Listen everybody, we have important news for all of you " I started out.
" We are no longer safe. A witch reported our existence to their elders which means they're hunting for us " Rick continued.
The reaction we get are different. Some are running here and there panicking, some are silent and some are laughing .
" This must be a joke " one of the wizards said.
" I can assure you that we are being 100 % serious because our very first hiding is completely destroyed "
Everyone is silent after I said that.
" What are we gonna do ? " one of the wizards asked to us.
" The only thing we can do is avoid meeting each other at this place because we don't know where they are " Rick answered.
The other wizards muttered in agreement.
" Don't worry, we're gonna find out who this spy is " I assure the other wizards.
" When can we live together with the witches ? " an innocent little boy asked.
" We don't know about that cause it's up to them " I answered.
" If they want to let us live with them, will we take it ? " the little boy asked another question.
" We will surely take it . Keep up the courage, little fellow " I said.
" I will " he said with a determined look in his eyes.
That fire in his eyes reminded me of myself when I was a little boy.
