You and Darry had gotten into an argument last night about whether you should be able to discipline Pony when he's not there.
You had said that if Darry wanted to take this realationship farther since you had been together for 4 years now, That you should be able to discipline Pony or Soda when he's not home if they had done something bad.
He replied with that you don't know them like that and got very hurt since Pony and Soda had felt like your kids since you took care of them too.
You didn't want to act like their new mom but if they had done something bad than to talk to them or something light. And you told him that.. You knew Darry was very wary about women in his life around Pony and Soda with that type of stuff.
But you didn't think this was a bad idea.
You agruged all last night and thought he was over reacting.
He had said something in the heat of moment that mad you very upset. "You could never be like their mother. How dare you think that you could replace her?"
He realized after and apologized many times but you were still hurt by the fact that he thought you would try to replace their mom. You knew you would never come close to that but for him to say you could never be their mom hurt.
Soda and Pony loved you like a mom and even told you if Darry ever married you, That they would be okay with it and would love for you to be like a step mom. Pony had even said that you were like a mom he didn't get to have.
All you did was love and care for them. You watched them, You helped Pony with hard homework, You were always there for them.
And today was a hot day out and Darry had to work.
I mean it was burning. And you decided to not bring him an extra drink that you knew he would want.
It was about 7 when he got home. He slammed the door shut. "Today was burning out and you didn't bring me anything? I called you 2 times!" You gave the silent treatment.
"Hello?" You rolled your eyes "Sorry, I was asleep" You sarcasticlly said.
"Sure" He sat right by you. You scooted over. "We're almost finished with the house we're working on"
He put his hand on you're thigh.
"Don't touch me" You moved his hand off.
"You're still going on with this? I said sorry like 50 times and it's been a day"
You didn't answer
Pony comes in "Y/N can you make me a sandwich?" "No, I'm not anything like your mom so I can't" ""Okay now your just being fucking childish" Darry says.
"How!?, If I'm not anything like a mom for them than I'm not making food for them anymore" "You can make a sandwich" "Hmm.. I don't want to"
"Pony I'll make you one" "Thanks" He waits and Darry gives it to him.
"You don't want me to care for them than I just won't do anything for them anymore. I'm not their fucking mom. Or you know, Since I won't be anything I'll just fucking leave tomorrow because what's the point"
You go Sodas room to sleep since he was gonna be somewhere tonight.
It's now 11 at night and you had felt kinda bad for holding that grudge and saying that. You couldn't stop thinking about it and started overthinking so much that you started crying.
You got up and went into Darrys room. He immendaly got up seeing and hearing you cry. "Darry" You walked up to him "What!? What happened!?"
"I-I'm sorry" You cried into your sleeve.
You pulled you into him. "Oh baby, It's okay." "No, No. I feel really bad. I didn't mean any of it I swear."
"I know, It's okay. I said something in the heat of moment too. We all say stuff we don't mean"
"And I'm sorry for holding a grudge" "Listen. I don't care about any of that stuff anymore okay" "okay" "Get up here and get some rest"
I got into bed and we cuddled until we feel asleep.
