Watching Ash pack up everything in our hospital room while a smile sits on my lips. Micah sleeps soundly in my arms in his going home outfit. Our little family is so perfect I couldn't imagine a happier moment.

Ash notices me staring and smiles, "You're staring again babe."

I giggle and stick out my tongue, "Well my handsome fiancé is working in front of me. I can't help but stare."

Sydney and Dr. Shelby walks in, and I notice a bouquet of flowers in Sydney's hand.

She smiles looking down at Micah, "Your son is absolutely so precious. He was probably the easiest baby to care for in my nursery. We wanted to get you both these flowers in honor of this wonderful moment."

Ash takes the flowers and shakes Dr. Shelby's hand, "Thank you for taking such great care of my wife."

A blush goes over my cheeks, we aren't even married and he has already gotten into the habit of calling me his wife.

Sydney smiles, handing over the packet of all the information we may need to Ash, walking over to me she smiles, "Are you ready to go home?"

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and nodded, "Yes we are."

Sydney nods, "Alright well let me get you a wheelchair and we will give you a ride out of here in style."

Ash kisses me on the forehead, "I am going to take this stuff to the vehicle and pull it up. I'll be right back."

Dr. Shelby smiles and listens to Micah one more time, she pats me on the back.

Sitting on the bed next to me, she looks up at me, "You are doing so good momma. He is doing really well latching onto you during breastfeeding. If you have any problems don't be afraid to reach out or have summer reach out to us."

"Thank you. You guys have seriously been the best care team for Micah and I."

Micah opens his eyes a bit looking at me, and Dr. Shelby smiles, "He looks so much like you. I heard you're unsure about coming back. I want you to know that even though we didn't get to work together much due to your high risk pregnancy. That I would love to have you as my nurse anytime."

I shake her hand, "That means more than you know. Right now my plan is to stay at home and settle in with him. Our family has been through a lot lately and we are quite lucky to have people help us out."

Ash walks back in with Sydney following behind pushing a wheelchair, and Ash smiles, "A ride for my queen."

I giggle and Ash takes Micah putting him into the car seat, which is a super fancy car seat that my brother invested in for my baby shower gift. Even though my family lives further away now they are still sending stuff to show their love for Micah and I.

Standing up Sydney helps me into the wheelchair, even though I am going home. I still have to be careful because I had some bleeding issues after birth. The doctor said it can happen to people like me with anemia, so Ash has to remain off for the next few weeks. To help do all the heavy lifting and strenuous activities I can't do.

Ash finishes getting Micah all buckled into the car seat, "All ready to go."

Sydney let's Ash walk in front of us, and I know exactly why she does. I take my phone out of my pocket and record Ash walking out of the nursery doors towards the exit. Warmth feels my chest seeing him walk with Micah in the carrier next to him. It's the dad walk, the one Summer described to me when Zach walked out carrying Malachi.
