Ambrose
My wolf was practically purring in the back of my mind at the feeling of having our mate back in our arms.
Waking up without my little mate and her scent already fading sent me into a panic. I'd never felt anything like that before, it was like my heart was being torn from my chest and my lungs were filling up with water.
My wolf took over, pushing through the barrier in my mind and forcing us to shift right away. I'm sure that Silas was having fun cleaning up my mess and explaining why I shifted and left all of a sudden, especially since he wasn't allowed to tell anyone that I had found my mate just yet.
But I couldn't care less about that right now.
I wouldn't be able to rest until we were back in my pack, with my mate safely in my arms and out of harm's reach. And with my growing suspicions, I was afraid that keeping my mate safe wouldn't be easy.
"I arranged for one of the omegas from my pack to help you bathe and get ready while I'm in meetings," I told her, lightly ghosting the tips of my fingers up and down her spine. "I've already had them set aside some clothes for you to wear."
I grimaced at the uniform she was wearing now. "My mate deserves nothing but the best."
I could hear my perfect little mate's heart pick up and start to beat faster at my words. "Oh," she squeaked out. "It's really fine Ki-Ambrose. You don't have to."
"I want to." The words tumbled from my mouth right away. "Please, let me take care of you."
Now I was the one blushing while begging my mate to let me take care of her.
"Ok," she agreed softly.

I knocked lightly on Madam Olympia's office door.
With her advanced werewolf hearing and smell, I'm sure that she knew I was coming even before I was a few feet away.
But I was coming up here as my little one's mate, not as the Alpha King, I reminded myself.
"Come in." Madam Olympia's voice rang through the door.
I wasted no time opening the wooden door and quickly slipping inside, wanting to be seen as little as possible.
I locked the office door behind me and straightened my back, standing to my full height as I stared down at the wolf who had caused my mate so much pain and suffering.
Remember, my wolf practically snarled at me in my mind. We're here for our mate. We need to get answers now, and only after we have everything that we need can we seek revenge on every single wolf who has caused our little mate pain.
"Alpha King," she gasped, immediately bearing her neck towards me to show respect.
"There's no need for that," I said. "I'm here in a less formal manner."
I could see Madam Olympia tense at my words before she raised her head back up and motioned for me to take a seat.
I dropped into the open chair in front of her desk but didn't make a move to speak yet.
"I can mind link the Alpha and have him meet us here." She glanced around her office nervously, avoiding my gaze.
"There's no need for that," I said as calmly as I could. "I didn't come here to speak with your Alpha, I just have a few quick questions for you."
I did my best to smile and keep my wolf at bay. "It is Madam Olympia, right?" I cocked an eyebrow at her.
I didn't need to be a werewolf right now to hear how wildly her heart was beating at my words.
