Aiah sat on the plane, staring out the window, tears streaming down her face. Everything had happened so quickly. The weight of leaving Mikha last night was almost unbearable, the pain of their parting still fresh and raw in her heart. She clutched the armrest, trying to steady herself against the overwhelming sorrow.

Despite the ache, Aiah was determined. She knew that she needed to heal and grow, not just for herself, but for Mikha too. She thought of Mikha's face, the way she looked when they said goodbye, and it fueled her determination. The love she felt was a guiding light, pulling her through the darkness of this moment. Aiah closed her eyes, silently promising that she would return stronger, ready to rebuild what they had lost and create something even more beautiful

Mikha

It was painful to part ways with Aiah, again, but somehow, everything felt a little lighter.

The weight of loneliness started to creep in, wrapping itself around my heart. Ayoko mag-isa ngayon. I need a distraction, something to keep my mind off the hollow ache.
I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my contacts, finally landing on our group chat.
Within minutes, responses started pouring in.

Their quick replies brought a small smile to my face. I cleaned up the living room, picking up stray pillows and straightening the coffee table. After an hour, the door bell finally rang, and the familiar faces of my friends started to fill the space.

Colet and Sheena was the first to arrive. "Miks, anyare? may problema ka ba?" Colet asked, pulling me into a tight hug.

I tried to hold back tears, but the floodgates opened. "Aiah and I... we're not together anymore" I said, my voice breaking. "Ang sakit, Cols."

Gwen and Maloi arrived just in time to hear my confession. "B-bakit? Nag away kayo?" Maloi said, wrapping her arms around me.

Gwen set down the snacks she brought and joined the group hug. "Ilabas mo lang."

We all settled into the living room, and I started to share everything that happened. How Aiah and I decided to take some space and about her pregnancy.

The room fell silent, the announcement hanging in the air like a palpable force. Colet's mouth dropped open, her eyes darting to Maloi, who looked equally stunned. Sheena's hand flew to her mouth, her eyes searching Mikha's face for any hint of a joke.

"Ha?!" Colet finally breathed, breaking the silence. "Piskit."

Sheena's eyes were still wide with shock. "Wala pang 3 months pero andami na nangyari sainyo"

Maloi finally found her voice. "Sana magiging okay lang sya. Ikaw rin."

As the initial shock wore off, the room buzzed with a new kind of energy. Questions flew, plans were made, and promises of support were given.

We spent the rest of the afternoon talking, laughing, and just being together. My friends did their best to keep my spirits up, sharing funny stories and planning future get-togethers. Every now and then, my thoughts would drift back to Aiah, but being surrounded by people who cared made it a little easier to bear.

As the evening wore on, I realized that this was the next step. Facing the loneliness, reaching out for support, and slowly finding my way forward. It wouldn't be easy, pero alam kong kakayanin ko. With my friends by my side and my parents guiding me from above, I could face anything.
