I was heading out to shop and meet with coordinators for Jane's first birthday party. I wanted it to be truly extravagant, a celebration that would make her feel as loved and cherished as she made me feel when she came into my life.
Once I was dressed and prepared, I kissed my girl goodbye, leaving her in the hands of the maids and my mom. Her bright smile and innocent eyes filled me with warmth and motivation.
As I drove to the city, I mentally reviewed my plans for the party. I envisioned a beautiful venue decorated with vibrant colors, a delicious spread of food, and entertainment that would delight both children and adults. The coordinators and I would finalize the theme and other details today.
Arriving at the meeting spot, I met with the coordinators, who were enthusiastic and full of creative ideas. We discussed everything from decorations to the guest list, ensuring every detail was perfect for the big day. It was important to me that this party be a memorable occasion, not just for Jane but for everyone attending.
After our meeting, I spent some time shopping for decorations and party favors, carefully selecting items that would add a special touch to the celebration. As I browsed through the stores, I felt a sense of joy and excitement building inside me.
As I wandered through the aisles, picking out decorations and party favors, I couldn't help but think about who I wanted to invite. Of course, family would be there, but what about my 'college' friends? The girls had all been an important part of my life. It felt natural to include them in this special celebration for Jane.
I thought about the dynamics of inviting everyone. Colet and Maloi, despite their ups and downs, always brought a lively energy to any gathering. Sheena, with her warm personality, and Stacey and Jhoanna, with their shared sense of humor would definitely add to the fun. Gwen, always thoughtful and kind, would be a great help in making sure everything went smoothly.
Then, there was Mikha. A part of me still cared deeply for her, and I knew she had always been good with children. Inviting her felt like the right thing to do, but I hesitated, wondering how it might affect the atmosphere of the party and my own emotions.

After a fun game of volleyball with my friends, I decided to relax at a coffee shop. While I was enjoying my drink, I got a message from my coach. My eyes lit up with excitement as I read it, and I quickly gathered my things and left the cafe, eager to get home.
On my way, I stopped at the cemetery to visit my parents' graves. I lit a small candle and placed some flowers by their tombstones. Standing there, I spoke softly to them, feeling close even though they were gone.
"Dad, bumalik na po ako sa paglalaro ng volleyball, just like you always wanted." I said, touching the stone gently.
I smiled as I turned to my mom's grave and added, "Mom, work is going really well!"
After spending a little more time there, I kissed the tombstones goodbye and headed back to my car. Once home, I went straight to the shower, needing to refresh after the busy day. As I showered, I thought about the message from my coach.
After getting dressed, I started packing for my trip to Baguio. Our coach had told us we were invited to play in a volleyball tournament there. This was my first competition in a long time, and I felt a mix of excitement and nervous. As I packed, I couldn't wait to get back on the court and play the sport I loved so much.

I couldn't think of anything else but the upcoming volleyball game. It's in two days, and we're heading to Baguio tomorrow. We've practiced a lot this week, which gives me some confidence, but I can't shake off the nerves. As I sat down to eat dinner, the house felt unusually quiet. The only sounds were the clinking of utensils and the soft hum of the air conditioner.
