Mikha

I woke up to the sound of the girls laughing, their voices carrying through the room. I opened my eyes to find that the others had already gathered. I greeted them with a quick “good morning” before heading to the bathroom. As I washed my face, I couldn’t help but notice that Aiah was on my mind again. The thought seemed out of place, but I brushed it aside.

When I returned, I saw the girls setting up breakfast.

"Nag-order kayo?" I asked, noticing the spread.

"Oo, gusto kasi namin mag-pancakes today. Okay lang ba sa’yo? Order nalang kami ng rice meals if you want" Jhoanna responded, looking up at me.

"Nope. Okay lang, I was craving pancakes din kagabi eh" I replied, joining them at the mini dining area.

"Baka buntis ka na, Miks" Sheena teased, her comment sparking laughter around the table.

"Baliw" I shot back with a grin, shaking my head at her.

We dug into our breakfast, the room filled with chatter and laughter. The girls talked about what we might do for the rest of the day—where we could go, what beaches to explore, and where to grab dinner later. It was the usual easygoing banter, and I found myself enjoying the moment, even if my thoughts occasionally drifted elsewhere.

Aiah

We decided to have breakfast at a nearby café, where I ordered cookies and milk for Jane. For myself and the maid, I got us both a cup of latte. The view of the beach was mesmerizing, made even more stunning by the warm hues of the sunrise. It was absolutely breathtaking—a peaceful start to the day.

After finishing our breakfast, we headed back to our room. I started thinking about what activities we could do today. As if on cue, I noticed a brochure sitting on the bedside table. I picked it up and skimmed through it, discovering a mini water park that was advertised as being perfect for kids. It seemed like the ideal place to take Jane later, something she would absolutely enjoy.

Feeling a spark of excitement, I turned to Jane, who was busy playing with her toys. "How about we visit a waterpark today?" I suggested, my voice filled with enthusiasm.

Jane's eyes lit up, and she nodded eagerly. "park!!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands in delight.

"sounds like someone's excited, lets pack our bags then" I said, heading over to pack our bags with everything we might need for a fun day out—swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, and snacks. Jane couldn’t stop bouncing on her feet, clearly thrilled by the idea of splashing around in the water.

After gathering all the essentials, we headed out. The walk to the waterpark wasn’t too long, and as we approached, we could hear the sounds of children laughing and water splashing. Jane's excitement was contagious. She kept pulling on my hand, urging me to walk faster.

When we finally arrived, Jane's face lit up with pure joy. The park was filled with colorful slides, shallow pools, and plenty of water features that seemed perfect for her age. We found a spot to settle down, and I quickly got Jane into her swimsuit.

She ran ahead to the splash pad, her laughter ringing in the air as she played under the sprinklers and splashed around in the shallow pools. i watched her with a smile, feeling a sense of contentment. This was exactly the kind of moment i wanted to share with her—a simple, joyful experience, free from any of the worries that had been weighing on my mind.

The morning passed by in a blur of laughter and fun. Jane moved from one attraction to another, her energy seemingly endless. The maid and I took turns watching her closely, making sure she was safe while also enjoying the sunshine and relaxed atmosphere.
