Chapter 18

*Markie's POV*
*November 7*

I woke up still holding onto Andy's hands. Kahit malamig yung aircon ng room, Andy's touch managed to stay warm and cozy. I noticed na ako ata yung unang nagising. I snapped a pic of our hands intertwined with each other—for keeps lang naman— I just felt safe whenever I'm with Andy.

"Good morning" Andy turned to my side with her eyes half open and husky-dry voice. She then used her other hand to caress my face.

"morning" I smiled and rubbed her hand using my other hand. Still not letting go of her hand.

"Tomorrow's your birthday" she sat up straight, finally letting go of my hand.

"I know" I fixed my position.

"Let's eat breakfast" she reached out her hand and helped me get up.

Lumabas kami my kwarto and it was still six in the morning kaya napaka presko ng simoy ng hangin. There was a silogan near our resort we're staying in kaya we decided to just eat breakfast there. The place was relaxing, nasa tabi siya ng beach kaya rinig mo ang bawat hampas ng tubig sa dalampasigan na napaka sarap pakinggan sa tenga. It was an open place kaya kahit nasa labas ka pa lamang ay amoy na amoy mo ang napaka sarap na aroma. Andy ordered tocilog and cappuccino, whilst I ordered tapsilog with cappuccino.

"Thank you po" we both thanked the staff that served our food. I can already see Andy's excitement in her eyes.

"Kain na?" She did her little happy clap before eating her silog.

"Good thing they have cappuccino here" she took a sip of her cappuccino and went back to her food.

"You have something..." I gestured towards her left corner lip that is covered with foam from the cappuccino.

"Huh?" Confused, she started wiping the wrong side.

"Let me" I grabbed the tissue on my side and leaned in to wipe the foam.

"Thanks" she smiled and we continued eating. The usual, we chatted and watched nature do its thing. I love the part that we're both nature lovers, almost ten years of friendship, 'di ko man alam na nature lover pala siya. Maybe we just needed a getaway just to know such a detail.

"Let's go back? We still have a family shoot" she stood up and helped me get up.

"How are you feeling?" She asked as we walked through the silky-warm sand.

"meh, I guess the pain lessened" I shrugged.

"what about tomorrow? You think you're gonna be okay? I mean will you be able to walk ba?" She bombarded me with questions.

"Relax, I can deal with it" I said calmly. As we make our way through the resort, we stumbled across ate Dang, who seemed busy talking to someone in the phone. She noticed us and gave us a quick smile before going back to her phone call.

"I'll just get ready for the shoot" inupo niya muna ako sa sofa and placed my foot on top of the ottoman before siya pumasok sa cr.

Andy came out of the bathroom, wearing a white cocktail dress. She looks divine in that dress. I can't take my eyes off such a view.
