Chapter 38

*Andy's POV*

I woke up in my hospital bed, feeling nauseous. I tried to stand up but my body wouldn't let me. I look to my side, and saw Markie sleeping on a chair, with a neck pillow around her neck. With the thought of not waking her up, I forced myself to stand up. Nang makatayo na'ko, I used the IV stand para makapag-lakad ako patungo sa cr ng hospital room ko. I struggled, tila hindi ko magalaw nang maayos paa ko, para bang napilay ako.

"Andy?" Markie yawned from behind.

"Hey, hey... What are you doing?" Tanong nito habang patungo sa'kin.

"N-nothing, I just need to use the bathroom" I shook my head.

"Dapat ginising mo'ko" her brows furrowed, may halong pag-aalala ang boses.

"You seem tired, I didn't want to wake you up" pangangatwiran ko.

"Andy, we've talked about this, hindi ka dapat mahiya dahil asawa mo naman ako. Now, will you promise to tell me if you need anything?"

"Okay, promise" I nodded.

"Tara na, I'll guide you the way" she said, holding onto me while guiding the way to the bathroom.

Nang makapasok na'ko, I quickly closed the door and knelt down on the toilet bowl. Within seconds, I managed to throw up the waste I was holding on. "Andy? Are you okay?" Markie knocked continuously on the door, I can hear the worry in her voice.

"I-I'm fine, Markie" I replied as I continue to throw up.

"Nag-susuka ka ba?" Tanong nito, "I'm coming in!" Then she entered the bathroom.

"Hey, hey... We okay?" She knelt down on my level to give me a tight hug.

"I... I feel..." Those were my last words before my vision went black.

"Hm... Markie?" I mumbled while my eyes adjusted with the room's light.

I slowly opened my eyes and searched my surroundings for any signs of my wife. "Markie? W-where are you?"

"Andy! You're awake" she said while running over to me.

"W-what happened?" I asked, holding onto my head as it feels heavy.

"Take a rest, baby" payo nito habang hinahawakan ang kamay ko.

"Mrs. Lim, how are you feeling?" Tanong ni Doc.

"I-I feel okay, I guess?" I replied to his question.

"What happened, Doc?" I asked.

"You lost consciousness habang nag-susuka, kaya I called the doctor immediately" sagot ni Markie.

"Your wife and I already talked, and based sa results ng tests mo, pwede ka nang i-discharge. We'll just set some follow up check ups, to monitor the baby" Doc stated.

"And don't worry, it's totally normal to feel nauseous and to throw up, dahil isa iyon sa mga side effects ng mga tests na in-undergo mo" he added. Hearing that, I turned to Markie, and saw the relief on her face.

"Thank you, Doc" Markie reached in to shake hand with the doctor.

"No problem! I'll get going na, pa-follow up niyo na lang mga discharge papers niyo if hindi pa nabibigay" he smiled before leaving the room.
