"Morning, hun." I smiled at my daughter, who was already dressed for school, her uniform neatly in place as she ate breakfast.

"Morning, Mama." She smiled slightly, but it didn't reach her eyes as she walked to the table.

I sighed, my heart heavy with worry. It had been a few weeks since the incident, and Akiko and her father hadn't spoken a word to each other. Their rift was palpable and deeply concerning, especially since their bond had always been so strong.

"Morning," Katsuki muttered, pecking my cheek before sitting for breakfast.

"Morning, love." I returned his smile and placed his plate in front of him. We had gotten up early today hoping to share a meal.

"I'm going to be late," Akiko muttered, pushing away her barely-touched plate before washing up and grabbing her bag and shoes.

"Akiko?" I called after her, but she didn't respond, leaving the house in a hurry.

I sighed again, watching her go. Katsuki clenched his fork, his jaw tight with unspoken frustration.

"Katsu, please talk to her. This silence between you two isn't helping." I rubbed his shoulders, trying to ease his tension.

"She can come and talk to me once she realizes what she did was wrong. Sneaking out with a fucking villain? C'mon, Marinette. He was using her. They probably found out she's my daughter and decided to use her against me!"

"I understand your worry. But she truly cares about him. And no, I don't think it was romantic. He didn't look that bad either... He... he had your eyes..." Katsuki dropped his fork, his face paling.

"I saw him one day, the night I had to catch Endeavor's agency. I pulled his hood back and I saw his red eyes. They were just like mine. And he has dark midnight hair... like yours."

"......maybe that's why Akiko bonded with him... he looks like her."

"Just like Naoko...."

"......"

"....FUCK! This is so fucking confusing. Maybe it's all part of the act. He's looking like her to connect with her, shit. I'm going to work." He said, grabbing his things in a rush.

"I love you," he kissed my lips quickly and left, leaving me feeling more alone and empty than before.

Inferno's POV:

"Oi, kid!" I stopped my training and turned to see Dabi leaning against the door.

"You've been training for three hours. Come take a break. And Shigaraki is calling us to talk."

"Fine," I grunted, following him towards the warehouse.

I hadn't seen Akiko since the incident. I tried going to our meet-up spot, but she never showed up. Whenever I saw her outside, she was always accompanied by someone, likely arranged by her father.

Entering the meeting room, I saw the usual assembly of villains gathered around the table.

"Alright, I found the key to the heroes' demise... Ground Zero's daughter." Shigaraki announced, his voice dripping with malevolence.

"Ground Zero has a daughter?"

"Since when?"

"Is she hot?"

Questions erupted from the group while my mind raced with anger and dread. They were targeting Akiko.

"This is her." Shigaraki slapped a photo of Akiko on the table, her face unmistakable.
