IN GIRL WORLD, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut, and no other girls can say anything about it. But in Valentina's world, it was so much more.

This was the first time that Alicia Varner would not be home on Halloween. Ever since she was a child, Valentina would spend all day getting ready with her mom, taking pictures, showing off the costume they spent weeks creating, and then they'd walk around town collecting candy.

But this year, Valentina hadn't even seen her mom since the previous morning. Most kids would be stunned by this information, maybe even sad, but this ditzy blonde? No, not her. She was thrilled. Because without a parent's supervision, she had free reign to leave the house however she wanted.

Without her iconic leather jacket and sheer, sheer fishnet stockings, Valentina probably would've frozen to death in her little black miniskirt and corset top. Her high-heeled leather boots stomped up the porch steps, louder than the boosted speakers, and alerted the entire house that Valentina Varner was ready to party.

Or should she say, Stevie Nicks was ready?

Of course Valentina would dress up as her favorite singular artist. Who else? It was always a fan favorite, but she's already gone as the typical, hippie, beautiful Stevie Nicks, who wore ponchos and kimonos—three times. So who better to make a statement than 'rare miniskirt Stevie Nicks,' the beautiful, never-again seen outfit that no one expected the hippie artist to appear in.

With a little pregame in her system and a knife in her hand—the one ripped from her back—Valentina entered the house of her ex-best friend's without an invitation and only a need for revenge.

As soon as she paused in the doorway, a few cheers and screams erupted from several places among the house. Valentina was always the entertainer on Halloween night, but no one expected her to show up after the public breakup of her and Tina Winslow. But here she was, making quite the grand entrance as "Call Me" by Blondie filled the ears of herself and everyone who stopped to stare.

It was like a scene from a movie and Valentina was thriving in it. The popular girl who hid under a rock after disappearing off the face of the Earth, back for one night and one night only.

Immediately, a crowd of students she recognized from school swooped in to chat, shoving compliments and drinks down her throat. Valentina was already feeling on Cloud 9 with little white tablets flowing through her system, but with the addition of unexpected love from people who sometimes mocked her, she might as well have been outside of her body.

'You look amazing!' 'How are you here,' Here, have a drink,' 'I didn't think you'd be coming!" The girls went on and on. Valentina quickly lost interest, like a real performer having to greet their crazed fans after a long night.

She laughed, ignoring the way her stomach buzzed with all their attention on her, and silently pushed her way through the crowd to join the rest of the party. Those girls were fake, they didn't actually care about Valentina, only anything drama-related. She wasn't there for that kind of drama.
